I read in some places that high doses of Iodine can reduce LH which stimulates the testicles to produce testosterone. Some people on here were complaining about having missing periods as well. So can idoine reduce sex hormones? One of the reasons why I am taking it is to increase testosterone as I know it helps with estrogen dominance. Any help thanks.
I was going to take Tamoxifen, a Breast Cancer drug, to raise my fsh and lh and thus testosterone because it blocks estrogen from binding to the breasts and hypothalamus. But I figured I would try Iodine first since it may help with estrogen dominance.
See these people on here are talking about 'halides' all the time, and I don't care about that. I care about feeling good and getting my testosterone levels up. If Iodine won't do that then why do I need to take outrageous dosages? I either feel a good benefit or I don't. As of now I am not feeling anything and was doing better with just taking my Armour Thyroid, but I will give the 50mg a chance with the companion nutrients. However I feel like it is just reducing my thyroid output like it did last time I took 15mg of iodine (I have labs to prove it unlike the people on here providing anecdotes). I also feel a difference...like my thyroid is getting sluggish again. I will wait and see...if I start gaining weight again like I did last time then I am stopping this because obviously my body doesn't need/want it.
When i started Iodine protocol(300mg), my libido did go up(3-4months ago).
Still also.. Every time i take it(iodine, 300mg) i get this libido surge lol
Remember that Iodine can make you deficent in nutrients, especially with high doses, so supplementation is a must.
Ted from earth clinic wrote it improved libido in both sexs and the female clients actually got pregnant while on it.
Also i remember him saying that there were results in men complaining about testicle pain. And was resolved by masturbation.
also gave it to her boyfriend and worked. I dont stalk you that much LOL (excuse:eager learner!)
been using it for 3-4months along with iodine. It works with iodine and without iodine. Borax that is.
Zinc every second day with some copper.
I know that if you have high cortisl levels it would make you harder to improve your T-score. Fixing that, fixing your Adrenals. High cortisol levels make it harder to improve your T-Score, reducing stress.
Holy Basil, Licorce ROOT etc
I can't find the link atm,but there was a guy who used SSKI for a year 600mg high dose. He said his sexua| energy improved massively and never tires!
He was also saying that the reason why mens penis are getting smaller and womens breasts are getting bigger is a lack of iodine.
Also High on Water, recently wrote increase in body mass weight. more toned and firmer. That was relate to Testosterone hormones adjusting to be where they should be.
hopefully it was what you wanted to hear! :)
**edit also about "halides" post you said.
I think these so called "halides" your talking about are actually blocking your libido or your T-score.
There is a basis... it's hard to avoid halide poisoning in the world we live in. So unless you've gotten them out (or you've just been lucky enough to live in the middle of a crystal clean rainforest your whole life)-they're there.
This is an interesting discussion. My partner is trying to get off TRT right now and I've been wondering if Iodine therapy would help him.
Can halides block natural testosterone production? He's had low T ever since his teens.
"Why is it that the old-timers took 700mg/day for their entire lives and never had problems like I now do? Well, my theory is that the old-timers, and the present-day Japanese, had/have stronger thyroid glands due to their iodine-rich environments from the womb on out into the world. There was also limited exposure to halogen-class metals to weakend the thyroid in its' developmental stage which would account for this. In the same manner, testosterone levels and penis sizes keep going down while breast sizes keep going up as we march forward in time."
Thank you albaover; you are doing good; glad you are posting at the forum!
I can confirm that libido has increased in myself and to keep my boyfriends on my level I give them Borax in addition to iodine. LoL
Iodine is needed to make every single hormone in the body.
Periods has normalized for me and loads of other women here at the forum. But it take some time; I would at least give it a year. For me, that was hypo T I had periods every 21-23 days. It is now 27 days, only one day from the perfeckt 28 I used to have.
- in a transient phase everything can get worse; this is a little different from person to person; and a little difficult to predict.
The most successful cases I know of are the ones that have done the full protocol for some length of time.
