A little over a year ago, I remember that some nights I would not be able to sleep well because i would develop itches all over my body and gas when i tried to go to sleep. It was a type of itch were it was instantly satiated by scratching it, but a new one would pop up in a different area shortly after. It would not happen every night however. Later, I went through an extremely stress-full period of time, which wore me down into a very severe depression/anxiety. This is the time I first remember another symptom, a heavy heart beat, especially after eating, and when trying to go to sleep. The itchy sensations became present during the day, not just the night. I became frequently almost completely incapacitated by the sickness. When the itching was bad, some of the itches would escalate to "pangs" that felt like something biting me under my skin, these could make me jump, want to yell, and rush to itch the area, which would instantly make them subside. There is also a third feeling, something like a general burn/tingle or feeling of inflammation under the skin, and a 4th feeling, that is a crawling sensation, similar to what you feel when a very small insect is on you. I noticed that fatigue, depression, and anxiety were correlated to whatever the sickness was, as well as digestive troubles. I would get an intense pain after eating in my stomach area very often, along with the itchyness and fatigue.
After countless hours researching, I am still at a loss for what is wrong with me. Things I come across most include:
-food allergy: almost surely not the case. I have gone on elimination diets as far as nothing but steak. although i have always had very bad allergies my whole life.
-candida/leaky gut: I know this is greatly over self diagnosed. I noticed the itchiness and insomnia seemed to improve a lot on a very low carb diet. I've tried many of the anti yeast remedies, however have never taken a drug for it. When I mention this to doctors, they laugh.
-parasites: I purchased albendazole (de-wormer) and have been taking that since yesterday. There hasn't been a noticeable positive effect. Also I took a stool test and although it was for a crappy regular doctor and i think only tested for 3 strains of parasites, it passed (they did find salmonella, however, which explained why I'd been so sick a week or so before). parasites seems to be the closest matching to what I feel, but I have never seen any in my stool that I could recognize. Itching and crawling feeling can be very bad on my anus, in my nose, and on my scalp and sometimes in my ear
-some type of strange bacterial infection? should I try anti-biotics?
-mold? there was black mold growing in my bathroom when i was developing these symptoms.
-auto immune disease of some kind?
-hypothroidism - I have read that a large reason for why our body temperatures is 98.6 is because it is just high enough to make us less susseptible to parasites/infections. my body temperature is almost always at least a degree colder, and sometimes has been all the way down in the 96's.
I am a 19 year old Male. I would greatly appreciate advice of any kind!
doesn't scabies produce skin sores and rashes? my skin looks completely normal. Also i have started taking albendazole, after reading the ICU protocol, a couple days ago, but have not so far noticed any improvement.
I had this intense skin itching and stinging deep down to my nerve, this occurred 10 months after we moved into a new house. I suspected mold
My ND sent my stool and blood tests to the very best leading expert in Parasitologist in the world he was so impressed with Dr Omar for identifying parasites
Taking a bath helps calm down the central nervous system and should help in decrease itching taking pretty warm bath tub with Sea Salt and little baking soda. If you have a rash consider pouring water mixed with Sea Salt over it this helps it dry out and stops the itch
I have read cases, where people were itching like crazy and it turned out to be candida overgrowth. Apparently the candida tests are not highly accurate either. The stool test for candida is the most accurate according to one doctor findings with his patients.
Well, the 'scabies' attack I had 'started out' 'itchy' but no 'blotches' at first. Then after a week or so it began getting 'red' in areas but never any 'open sore' issues. My 'fingers' in between was really red (they LOVE warm areas!)and I NEVER 'felt' any 'crawling' just a overwhelming need to scratch! I tried homeopathic (worked some relief), then Permethrin (worked some relief), finally got the Doctor (they are stubborn, they want you to use the Permethrin first!)to give me Ivermectrin and yahoo, after 2 doses, 7 days apart, of 4 (3mg)tablets, gone, gone, gone! (I weigh 108)they gave it to me according to my weight.
I also used (a Nurse at a well known store gave me this advice)the 'lice' spray for ALL my furniture, my beddings (ALL of them), my floor, my carpets AFTER mopping with 1 part vinegar to 1 part water and then 3 capfuls of bleach to 1 gallon of water on ALL my floors. AND, to 'top it off' for 3 full months (yep, I did NOT stop! maybe a lil' 'PTSD'?)CHANGED THE BEDDING EVERY DAY AND ANYTHING I WORE WASHED IT EVERY DAY FOR 3 MONTHS WITHOUT FAIL!
Now, I have 'on hand' 20 Ivermectin and my homeopathic (that worked well in conjunction with everything else I really believe that!)lotion/shampoo/soap AND (thank God it's just my husband who lives with me)had him do everything with me EXCEPT the Ivermectin (he did not get it!awesome!)and have a 'residual' (this is normal and is NOT 'active scabies', you will KNOW the difference, believe me!)occasional itching that is less and less.
However, because I am very 'guarded' about this, tomorrow, 4/22/2014 I will take first thing in the morning, one, '4' pill dosage of Ivermectin before eating and wait at least one hour before eating (just like before)(3mg)because we will be going on a trip and that stuff is so great that should any 'scabies' try to 'take a ride' on me, IT WILL DIE!
I had this deep down to the nerves type of itching and burning, stinging like bugs were biting and crawling all over me it was insane. Almost a tingling sensation
Went to the store the clerk told me to try AQUAPHOR this worked amazing. It worked so fast to stop the stinging, burning crawly bugs biting feeling disappeared . But as soon I would stop using it, the problem would be back. There was NO way I was going to have this stuff on my skin all the time I knew it was going into my body, it bought me time to figure out the cause
Here is what worked for me this is a simple fast natural cure to stop itching ,stinging, crawling sensation.
Take HIGH doses of Vitamin C the best kind of vitamin C is Lypospheric C it is in own league it is equivalent to vitamin C IV's.
We had Ester C which is cheaper and works well I would just put like 9 or 10 tablets in half cup of water and put it in the blender and just drink it down fast doesn't taste so great not a big deal. I did this three or four times a day High doses Vitamin C
Itching stopped time to gather my sanity to figure out cause .
Here are some ideas:
If you have rash get it biopsied by the dermatologist have it sent straight to the lab.
My ND said it could be liver toxicity, hormones? thyroid, heavy metal toxicity, food allergies, parasites, mold, dryer sheets, detergents, shampoos, clothing fibers, or it could be caused by emotions.
If it is your thyroid and you have hypothyroidism to raise body temperature get a near infra-red light and lay underneath it for like 15 or 20 minutes of course the brain likes it cool so avoid shining it on your head. Or just hit the sauna every day, this Increases body temperature may kill whatever is causing the issue.
Take a bath in FINE Mediterranean Sea Salt
Sea Salt bath seemed to really help add couple drops of eucaplyptus oil and lavender oil put a a few drops into a bath to take the edge off of itching
Rub yourself down with Noxzema and see what comes out. If you get white and black larvae coming out of your skin, you may have cutaneous strongyloides. I had the terrible itching too, and the Noxzema, coconut oil and Bentonite clay packs finally brought it under control.
Noxzema lotion? I'll give it a try, but I have a feeling my problem might be microscopic. I have never seen any visual signs. I do use coconut oil on my skin pretty frequently, and eat it sometimes. eating i think 3 tablespoons has made me very sick and vomit before. i might be a little allergic. When I put it on my sick, it could be placebo, but i think i notice an increase in itchiness.
We had some biting as well and I am not sure what is was but as we took medication it just stopped.
We took triclabendazole, prazi, albendazole, and valben, niclomisde, vermox, ivermectin, gosh I think that is it. the itching stopped shortly after the tricalbendazole followed by prazi.
We didn't have the problem bad though.
Just rashes but they did not itch except for on the hands oh my that was a nightmare.
Sometimes scabies can be atypical and not just in the webs of the hands.
Who knows, there are so many different kinds today.
I hope the load decreases and you start to feel better.
It is a process of elimination for we do not know what all we have.
The tools today, the refusal to get a diganosis by the cheapest means sonogram, string test etc. and all the problems getting a positive stool test requires a series of drugs to eliminate the worms and more drugs.
We know we have thread/pins and then we take meds and find we have others, we take myrrh and quassia and find others...it just goes on and on until we get rid of the massess to feel better and we must continue with maintenance.
Everyone is different. We may think we have only one parasite and then we take another drug or herb and find others and we keep fighting and researching to kill them before they destoy us.
It is strange and on an individual basis.
Albendazole hasn't been successful... based on my symptoms, do you or anyone else have any insight into what I might try next? I have Ivermectin, drinking that stuff feels really toxic though. Will it be of any use if albendazole hasn't seemed to be? I thought my symptoms seemed like possibly roundworms... what could they be?
I slept for 2 hours last night and have been tortured by parasitic symptoms the rest of the time, I am dieing to find some relief!
The biting sensations might be tapes... or several others as well.
The biting has begun again right after I took the herbs so I need to try and get those in the colon for next 2 weeks and proceed with rectal albendazole. It is getting worse.
I have been trying to get the colon as clean as possible for the drugs to absorb and have succesfully killed many.
I don't know what I have in the tissues but they are flipping around and some move and some don't.
Clueless..but mayebe a year of albendazole and prazi might do the trick..ugh.
Ivomec did not help but again I didn't try hard enough,,maybe BT.
I have used vitamins, minerals, supplements for 50 years.
I am have researched the internet on heath and healing over 15 years.
My first reaction when I read all these post was dietary. Health scientist are saying all disease is dietary and 80% of health is a healthy stomach. Turns out I and the scientists may be right. Over ninety health problems can be traced to aspartame. All the symptoms posted here point to aspartame. The bad news is it may take 30 days to recover from the Aspartame poisoning.
Unless a lot of the best detoxifier around, vitamin C. is Ingested one gram each waking hour until symptoms cease. All processed sugars are toxic, and blamed for over 70 health problems. Processed vegetables oils like soy, are probably as toxic. French fries anybody? All Sugar substitutes are toxic. I ate most a pumpkin pie with a Sugar substitute and spent a most of the next 24 miserable hours in the bath room.
Please, do the research.
I do have the same symptoms you have described. when the itch started I attributed it to worms since I hadn't used a de-wormer in a while. but this resulted in stomach problems and consequently esophagitis. I have been to the hospital and have been treated from the esophagitis but the itch wouldn't go. it becomes worse when I take in heavy carbohydrate diets. at the moment, I have been taken vitamin c as a palliative measure until I figure out exactly what the cause is. I am thinking of taking albendazole at the moment to see if it will do some magic but i'm scared it will give me stomach problems and may be the esophagitis again. have you had any latest information about the cause of your condition too. I'll need some advice from you since my symptoms are pretty much like mine.
I have all the same symptoms! It started about a year and a half ago. Been to the doctor many times, tried derm, they told me it was in my head. Did a year of antibiotics, tried every remedy on line including ivermectin. Nothing worked. I can tell you it's not scabes or parasitic. I continue to avoid carbs and Sugar and drink quite a bit of Apple cider vinegar and that keeps everything under control. I would like to know what's actually going on and how to eliminate this thing!
I also have the same problems. I have gone to several doctors internal medicine, neurologists, dermatologists, allergists. They all seem to point to the next department. It's just like going in a circle that never ends. I have noticed that oil baths do help a little. Or if I put an icy hot patch anywhere on my body just to focus on that sensation instead of the actual problem. It got so bad that I clench my teeth. Most of my back teeth are bridges or crowns. I had to learn not to clench my teeth.
