I heard that Swedish Bitters helps our livers produce and excrete more bile and makes the liver healthier and more effective. Has anyone here had any experience with Swedish Bitters?
I am trying it now and my stool is darker (like it has more bile in it) but I just wonder if it's not from the dark color of the swedish bitters. The website for the swedish bitters claims it cures almost all diseases, just like some say that Liver Flushes cure all diseases. I've done Liver Flushes before and they always get lots of stones out, butI'd like something easier I could do to get the bile moving.
Anyone out there want to relate their experience with the swedish bitters?
I took 2 large bottles of Swedish Bitters per directions last fall, about two - three months before I started liver flushing. I feel it definitely had a positive effect on my system/liver... may do it again this coming fall.
I have had a real difficult (almost impossible) time losing weight since getting off of anti-depressants and BP medications, even though I exercised like a demon (1.5 hours a day 5 - 6 days a week), did/do not eat sugar/sugar substitutes and 90% of my carbohydrates are from vegetables and one or two pieces of fruit a day; frustrating.
I found that I could slowly lose weight by supporting the functions of my liver, kidneys, thyroid pancreas and lymphatic system, attributing that discovery in part to the Swedish Bitters. Check out what Julia Chang has to say about the bitters on her site and pay attention to your bodies response to it. http://www.sensiblehealth.com/index.html
In the last 13 months, I have lost 45lbs and could stand to lose another 15 - 20 if it is all fat/stagnant lymph fluid loss AND I can retain\build the muscle. That is a very safe, healthy way to lose weight at about .8 pounds a week… I can tell that I am retraining the cells in my body to work as they were intended and that the weight loss will be more permanent… not there yet but no more Yo-Yo or fad diets.
When you check Julia Chang's website you can see that she tried Swedish bitters but she got worse because of the 3 plant estrogen in it. She switched to Chinese bitters. Check under Liver cleansing on her website.
The plant estrogen part is the reason I suggested the read and the close attention to the body's response to taking the Swedish Bitters. I do not think that plant estrogens affect males in the same way that they seem to affect females based on my limited research and experience.
I hope the Swedish bitters will help me. They are inexpensive and easier to take compared to other stuff like Chinese Bitters.
I am thin naturally (I weigh 105 lbs and am 5'1"). I think it's Genetics. But because of health reasons (years of eating fast food and junk food has caught up with me - food allergies, chronic fatigue, insomnia) I am now a health nut: I avoid junk food and I try to exercise regularly.
I've noticed that people lose a lot of weight on the Master Cleanse. (That's why I can't be on it for too long, since I'm too thin already). My friend lost about 20 lbs in 2 weeks. Perhaps you could try that. It also cleases your insides: detoxes, and heals your body.
