Raw honey does NOT feed candida, as the previous poster (the post below/ANSWER1) thinks. RAW honey (and not just raw, but UNheated and UNfiltered honey -- make sure it says that on the honey) is an INVERT sugar. And invert sugars do not ferment in the stomach/intestines.
Yeah, I've seen that before about Honey and I even posted about this. I think everyone stays away from it.. There's such a debate on it on this forum. I am just not sure!! It would be great to just have that though, like we could make sweet bars with it!! Yum!
And the study seems to conclude with the idea that propolis was more effective than the honey. i dont believe in honey in being an antifungal but that's just me. if it works for some people, i definitely say continue it.
So wikipedia is a reliable source while people who actually use raw honey aren't? That's bogus. I don't care how many articles say that raw honey is just sugar. It's a LIE! I know for a fact because I actually consume raw honey and my blood Sugar is stable when I consume it.
As if some money-grubbing doctor is ever going to tell you that a natural substance can take the place of a handful of pills. If you're not going to think for yourself, the least you can do is stop listening to doctors and wikipedia monkeys who recycle outdated advice.
And of course there's the idiots that don't know the differenc between "raw honey" and that crap on the shelf at Wal-mart. I could fill a book with the crap they don't know.
Stop being cheapskates and go to a health food store. Buy raw honey. The label should state: Raw honey, unpasteurized, unheated, unprocessed, unfiltered. If it doesn't mention all these things, it's NOT raw!
You don't know what you are speaking about. I know what the **** raw honey is. I guarantee you i have more anecdotal experience just myself alone if you want to pull that logic. I'm not discounting anyone's experience. If someone eats dirt and gets better, then fine it worked for them. You INFER many things. Never did i say wikipedia is to be trusted over personal experience. I used that link as an example to show chemical structure of honey, is infact sugar. What your body does with it or how it reacts is up to you to judge but if it smells like sugar, looks like Sugar (chemically), and we know that if you candida sugar it grows, then it is sugar. I have tried honey and yes raw organic honey that you speak of and guess what? Same reaction as sugar. So if you so choose to be inclined to believe that honey as certain vitamins and enzymes that negate its physical properties of being a fructose sugar, then that's up to you. I speak from my experience and the evidence I have that supports it. Articles that state honey is a sugar is a lie? Wow. Take some basic Science courses. I won't refute the fact that its possible something IN the honey or other properties of it help blood sugar or candida or what have you but you're just being outright ignant now.
Your hostile message evoked a hostile response. You take all the honey you want. And anytime now you can post a link to your website and try to get people to buy your miracle sweetener.
Oh boy! You sure did get your panties in a bunch, Mrs. Truth hurts. I don't sell honey or make honey. Fact is that you're a liar and quoting anything from wikipedia just shows that you're an ignorant fool who's willing to continue recycling useless and outdated information. Raw honey has been used for thousands of years. It's practically the only thing that Abrahamic (Christianity, Judaism, Islam) religious books agree on as having health benefits. So, go on and peddle your pills and powder, and make some more friends on wikipedia. I'm not buying what you're selling, madam.
I'm not here to be friends with you. I'm here to help people that want to be free of sickness. I'm here to help people that don't have insurance and teach them that Raw foods have curing properties. Proper diet is ALWAYS the answer. Raw honey does just that --it CURES! Nothing in the world that you can say will change that. Now, go untwist your panties.
