Pioneer I have read your posts about med withdrawal. I was only on a benzo for about 3 weeks several yrs ago. However I had been on many psyc meds for 14 consecutive yrs. I have taken most of the anti-depressants and the mood stabilizer lamictal. I have been off all drugs for 3 yrs.
I am just wondering what are the symptoms of the protracted withdrawal. How do you know if it is parasite die-off or drug withdrawal? I do take 6 charcoal when I am having lots of die-off but maybe I should just take it everday.
Here's a little of the research information I have come up with. Doc Sutter is aware of what the findings are. I am sort of a pioneer thru this, so will give you what I've found according to what I think YOU are up against, personally.
The benzo drugs are what causes the worst of the central nervous system symptoms when they come out. You had only been on them for 3 weeks, therefore I don't think you are going to have to worry about many of the symptoms.
On a side note right now---
A lot of us who had bad livers suffered from panic attacks and might have been on the benzo drugs for a while. Some of us for years. I was on them for 5.5 years steady before I got off them. They are horrible poisons. I am going to get blatently truthful here and tell you THESE DRUGS WERE FORMULATED TO SHUT THE CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM DOWN. I went thru about 6 weeks of very disabling central nervous symptoms. It started out with a kind of hearing problem that made me a little deaf. My hearing is quite normal. otherwise. The worst of the symptoms started WITH the cellular detox about 6 weeks ago today. 12/06/10. I am still suffering from the effects of them, BUT they are not as disabling now. They DO still limit my physical abilities at this point in time. I am not sure how long it will take to get them out of my spinal cord and brain. For anyone who has taken them, I can say to just be patient and the symptoms WILL abate. Don't get discouraged, either. You WILL come thru this. Doc has said "whatever went in HAS to come out".
Perhaps I shouldn't spare you of what the symptoms are from the benzo detox in this post. What they do when they come out is put extreme pressure inside the brain and spinal cord. They pull on the spinal cord, lock the neck and head up and try to pull it down between your shoulder blades. It feels like the drugs are literally pulling the spinal cord out of the body. It is rather painful. Essentially they put a lot of pressure on the breathing and heart. I could only take baby steps and walk very slowly for over a month bacause any pumping action of the cerebral spinal fluid would lock my legs up so I wasn't able to walk. The drug wants to come out fast, so another thing it does is bloat the intestines and put pressure on the breathing for a while. The charcoal stops that. The pressure is felt in both the brain and spine and also in the intestines. These drugs went thru the intestines and left their residue there to begin with. Very nasty stuff. I attribute most of this to benzo detox.
If benzos isn't what you were mostly poisoned with, you won't have to worry about these symptoms so much, but you most assuredly will have some unpleasant symptoms that you will feel in the central nervous system for probably a couple of months. I'm guestimating at the time the worst of it will last. I don't want to scare anyone, but I think you need to be prepared and know "this, too, shall pass".
If you have taken any of the SSRI's that have a half life, they ARE still packed in your brain and spinal cord, your tissues and perhaps your bones, depending on how bad off your liver and colon were at the time of initial detox and how much of the drugs you could detox in the initial detox 3 years ago. This goes for all drugs, but because of the half life of these drugs and the amount you may have packed away, they get gone much slower.
The symptoms I experienced BEFORE I started the cellular detox and was still cleaning the colon and liver I wasn't able to relate to benzo detox, except I had periods of time when I was very tired and couldn't wake up very well and slept most of the day.
The detox goes on at a very slow pace after the symptoms stopped that you are probably unaware of since the symptoms DID stopp with the initial detox. The drugs are still are in your brain and spinal cord to an extent.
What you are doing when you are cleaning out your liver and colon is detoxing more of these drugs. They are in your liver and also packed into the colon wall junk. Plus the other places I mentioned. There is a bigger concentration of them around the liver and in the colon under the liver.
Since my colon and liver has been clean, the cellular detox has speeded up. This means they started coming out of my brain and spinal cord, plus all the other tissues of my body, but it's in the brain and spinal cord that the miserable symptoms are felt. I am probably detoxing both the benzo and the zoloft I took for under a year as a replacement for the deseryl I was on for 5.5 years. Zoloft is a SSRI with a half life. Any drug with a half life takes longer to detox and they are associated with some unplesant symptoms when they do come out.
This is why I recommend a little charcoal going in all the time because it will help to pull those toxins out. Taken 2 hours on both sides away from meals so you don't take out any good nutrients your body needs.
The other thing I highly recommend is to do Dr. Sahley's protocol (from the Pain and Stress Center) for detoxing an also rebuilding the brain and nervous system. Also something to support the heart. That's her Super BNCG that helps balance brain and body chemistry, natural B6 and taurine that's both an antidepressant a help to the heart. Then, the natural acerola cherry helps the liver produce glutathione that will help detox these drugs. I also added some COQ10 for a while. All help the heart during the worst of the detox.
One of the best things to help the brain and central nervous system is Brian Peskin's Omega 6 and 9 that the body can convert into Omega 3. Cconut oil (info from Doc) is also very good at healing the central nervous system.
So, I've given you what I can that has helped me immensely and what I recommend from my own personal experience in healing myself of what the psycotrpic drugs did.
Remember, you don't have a drug deficiency. It could never happen. But you CAN get very, very poisoned by the drugs. You were poisoned from the start, and that's why you started feeling depressed.
If you've got panic attacks, you've got bugs, so do the extra L ornithine, too, that will help you neutralize the ammonia from the bugs that are overstimulating the adrenal glands.
Depression isn't a dis-ease. It's that you're loaded up with toxins and have brain fog that you need to get rid of by cleaning your body out. Drugs poison and pollute the cellular environment, were invented by the drug companies to TAKE YOU OUT PERMANENTLY! One drug calls for another to cover up the syumptoms the first drug caused. So get wise and VERY smart. NO DRUGS and clean out the body of the poisonous stuff and put the proper nutrients in there that will eventually heal it.
It's only once in a lifetime you have to do it. When you're done, you're free.
I hope this will help all who are detoxing this type of drugs.
Yes I do agree that these drugs are designed to kill!
The reason for my question is that off and on I get this feeling of dread and exhaustion. Like I just can't handle anymore exterior stimulation. It is accompanied by a lack of confidence and self worth. Feeling depressed and wanting to isolate. I often felt like this while on meds. The fatigue has been an ongoing problem for me.
Often the next morning I would have a large bm and the feelings would all go away. I would be back to my normal self.
I only had panic attacks when I was on a huge dose of Wellbutrin. They lasted for a few days and when I lowered the dose they went away. I have been on most of the SSRI's. What a mistake. I became sicker and they just kept giving me more meds. I had 7 psychiatrists tell me that I would be on meds the rest of my life.
Three yrs ago I knew I was dying. I knew I had to get off everything. My heavens this has been quite the journey.
I am going to take the charcoal daily. I always feel much better the day after I take it.
Well Pioneer I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will read and reread your post. It is kind of a bitter pill to think the road ahead may be a little rough but I am also grateful that you are here to share with us.
Depression and tiredness is part of the detox. Especially the drug detox. Do the nutriets I mentioned from Dr. Sahley and they will help you a lot. They help a lot over time. Make sure the rest of the nutrients/supplements this program recommends are in place, too.
Yeah, this IS quite a journey, but be convinced every step of the way is worth it. One day at a time. It's all progress. You wont have to retrace those steps ever again. UNLESS of course you allow yourself to get poisoned again.
You'll be pretty healthy before you're completely done this program, but don't stop before you reach the finish line.
Healing is indeed probable if you do all this. Don't become discouraged. Keep faith. All your body wants to do is be healthy. It doesn't know any other way, so keep going. Get rid of ALL the poisons and let your body and mind be in the best of health from then on for as long as you live. It will be the most wonderful gift you can ever give yourself. You can't be lied to anymore. And you'll be free! Walk with us until you get there.
You've been POISONED, POISONED, POISONED AND LIED TO BIG TIME! Psychological problems ARE resolved by this program. Somebody in your background must have told you that you were worthless and you sought refuge in drugs.
Feelings of tiredness come from feelings of worthlessness, but it's because you have been parasited and drug poisoned. Another reason: people around us who influence us also may have poisonous personalities. Don't you believe a word of it about being worthless. Do you WANT to be worthless? I don't hear that coming from you. Just keep on cleaning your body out. You will begin to understand that the ones who are making you feel worthless may be the ones you will have to separate yourself from. OR this may be something in your past that you will be able to resolve once your body gets a little cleaner and your mind gets a little more detoxed from the drugs.
There is no refuge in drugs. They're a terrible trap. They will destroy you. They come from the lies propogated by the medical. So HOW many of your psyciatrists want their pockets lined a little more at the expense of your health??? Think about it. This is what THEY want. They want you to accept the lies that it's all your fault. It's NOT.
Come on, Onward. You're going to be a while at this, but don't get discouraged. How badly do you want your health and your life back?
I'm still here and I am not going to let them win. You can detox these drugs and feel better than you ever have felt in your whole life, but it's going to take some work on your part and some support from other people who have gone thru this before you.
Well I certainly do want my health back. I will keep moving forward no matter what.
I certainly do not feel worthless. When I was placed on meds 17 years ago I was dealing with childhood sexua| abuse. All I needed at that time was some therapy and support. Unfortunately I was told to go on meds. I really was in bad shape at that time and then continued to get worse on their poisons. You know the brainwashing that takes place.
So in the last 3 yrs I have gone off all meds, stopped eating all wheat, dairy, sugar and processed foods, juiced greens, sweated, excercised, flushed my liver, cleansed my colon, killed loads of parasites, had my dental amalgams removed, detoxed for heavy metals, stopped using body lotions and make-up, got rid of all chemicals from my home, prayed, cried, laughed, screamed, posted on CZ, researched and researched, found an alternative doctor, chiropractor and a few other things.
I do feel I will never stop seeking wellness. I am like a dog with a bone. Not to worry about me giving up.
OK, so 3 1/2 years ago, after a total hysterectomy and multiple traumatic experiences in a short time, my PA said I needed a new anti depressant. I had been on 50mg Imipramine for years. She switched me to zoloft and after a few weeks she upped the dose. Then she told me to stop the impramine. 4 days later I woke in the middle of the night thinking I was dying! My muscles were rigid, I had diarrhea, stomach cramps, anxiety so bad I thought I would jump through a window, agitation, shaking and trembling....I could go on forever. In the morning I called the PA and she said, "oh, anti depressant can't do that. You're just having acid reflux. Take a medicine for that. And so began, on Aug. 10, 2007, my descent into hell. I only took the Zoloft for about 4 months.
So, today I have been off all the meds since 2007 but for some reason whenever I exercise, or eat anything not on my list of maybe 15 foods I can tolerate, or when I get stressed, I get those detox symptoms again. I have become afraid of trying new foods, can't tolerate many supplements. I take probiotics, vitamin D, a multivitamin, and have just this week added Omega 3, but I am having trouble with that.
I went for a massage the other day and was up all night with my detox symptoms from it. Thought I was going crazy!
So, can this crap still be in my liver and other organs after all this time? How long do I have to wait? I have tried the Protect from Point of Return but couldn't seem to tolerate that either.
I went to the doctor the other day because I was afraid I had Alzheimer's as my mind is so foggy and forgetful. He said I needed to be on anti depressants and benzos. He also said my symptoms have nothing to do with meds, it's all anxiety and I need meds to get rid of it.
My biggest problem is my FEAR of all these symptoms.
Did you, in your early years, take drugs? No? . . .Then, why do you think you have a drug defiency now? Chemicals are poisons, drugs are chemicals = drugs are poisons. Makes sense?
Are you following Doc's program? Have you done a colon cleanse? If you have been following Doc's program and colon cleansed, you could be detoxing on a cellular level. Even if you have been liver flushing and colon cleansing a little, you could have done enough to stirred up the drugs again. Yes, they are still in your system. Why? because even if you clean you liver and colon, the drugs are still in the rest of your body. Many of the drugs get stored away in your tissues, muscles, bones, etc. since the level of the drug is such that it permeates all the cells of your body. Once you clean your liver and colon you have given your body permission to dump all the drugs that have been stored throughout your body. You need amino acids, magnessium, and omegas as well as a really good quality vitamin c to detox this crap out of your body. Also charcoal will help alot - 2 to 3 capsules two or three times a day.I cannot make it through a day without the charcoal. Charcoal absorbs ten times its weight in toxins. Hope that this helps.
Every time you exercise or eat things that detoxify your body - veggies and fruits, you are expelling more and more of the drugs you have stored in your tissues. No, it is not acid reflux - I heard that too, mo you don't meed more and more of those killers. You were/are detoxing from the drugs. It will go on till all the drugs are gone. But, once they are gone, they are gone forever!! Hold fast there are others on here who are detoxing the drugs, as well. When I first got off the drugs, the only thing that helped was when I was liver flushing - could not have survived the pain without them. Each time I flushed the pain lessened. Hopethat this helps.
Don't ever give up! Take it from someone who has Terminal Cancer. Your are in for the fight of YOUR own life. This is not an easy process but in the end you will have your life back. It's a hard task of taking charge of your own health care.
I was once told that healing comes in "layers". You just have to be patient and believe in what you are doing. The people on this forum go out of their way to help you in any way they can. I have asked dozens of questions and not once have they failed to answer. Keep up the fight!!!
If you have taken a lot of drugs, then you need to start with the liver and not do anything with the colon until your body says it's time. It was a year into this program of clening out th eliver before I started any colon cleaning. The body only does one thing at once when it comes to cleaning. The drugs mess up the liver and need to be cleaned out.
It's so awful that doctors will tell you need benzo drugs. These are the ones that cause the most problems with detox. My plea to anyone/everyone is to stay away from them whatever you do. Take control of your own health. The steps are here to help you do it to get and stay healthy. It's toxins and lack of proper nutrients that cause depression and that is ALL. Except if you've taken drugs you probably have a bunch of parasites, too and those cause anxiety because of the ammonia they secrete that overstimulates the adrenal glands. Panic attacks. L ornithine--up to 20 capsules a day will neutralize the ammonia, but it may take a while. Panic attacks are usually the reason anyone starts these drugs to begin with. Kill the parasites, neutralize the ammonia from them and clean out the body. These drugs are a lie. They make you very intoxicated and addicted. They do nothing to help with the problem, but instead, injure your brain and body.
NEVER TAKE BENZO DRUGS!! They are a dead end street and most can't detox off them or find it extremely difficult, especially if your liver and colon is in bad shape and you can't detox them well. You will still get some intial benzo detox symptoms if you get off the drugs with this program, the liver flushes will help a lot, then you'll have to detox the rest of the body during the cellular detox. I've been thru it the hard way.
There are a few of us who have done this program and understand the need for personal support, so come back and get it. One day at a time, persevere and you'll make it. It is a long road, but it's worth the effort.
The celular detox happens when your liver and colon is clean. That will be at the end of this program. Dr. Sahley's amino acid preps (Pain and Stress Center) have helped me a lot with the symptoms and they are healing. This is how I got thru the first detox off these drugs 14 years ago, and how I am able to cope with the cellular detox.
I've found I had about 2 months of hard symptoms during the cellular detox, but that it does get easier. It's really not easy at all, to be truthful. There is support here for you when you go thru this. Yup, you do need to get it all out of your system to get your health back.
You will detox them slowly over time IF you got off them, then, when your body detoxes them down to a cetain level, you will feel the need for the drugs again. Antidepressant and antianxiety drugs CAUSE rebound depression and anxiety and will make you worse than you were originally. The doctors will tell you it's YOU getting worse. It's not you, it's the drugs doing this. That's why so many keep going back on them, so clean the liver and colon and get them gone for good. It's a lifetime of misery, otherwise, and ends in premature death, eventually.
According to the research I've been doing lately, I've establised that it's the best thing not to allow anything that comes out of your liver to recirculate thru the digestive system again because of the drugs. So I recommend doing charcoal 3x a day to start getting these poisons out of you. Charcoal wont' hurt you and may help in the long run.
If you're taking anything for supplements of an antioxidant nature, wait until you can handle the symptoms. Antioxidants are taken to help the cells clean out and you shouldn't be doing them at the beginning of the program so much.
Doc recommends Brian Peskin's omega oils. They help with brain and body repair from what the drugs did, too. Coconut oil daily helps.
Generate some faith and hope and just keep working.
In order to understand how the replacement nutrients work and what the drugs do to the brain and central nervous system, I recommend anyone go to the Pain and Stress Center website and purchase some of Dr. Shaley's books on the subject. They will give you a lot of understanding about the detox, too. I know there are other books, but these are very well written, easily understood and explain a lot about amino acids and other nutrients. Get Joan Gadsby's book "Addiction By Prescription" and her vhs tape "Our Pill Epidemic". "Psychiatry, An Industry of Death" put out by the Scientologists is a gruesome account of the history of psychiatry and very educating. Don't be fooled or lied to. It will save you so much suffering. Clean the body and feed it the proper nutrients and get your brain and body well.
I guess the hard part for me is I don't even really know what this stuff is. I don't understand why, after a wonderful massage, I woke up in the middle of the night with shaking, anxiety, paranoia. And then in the morning, after a large BM that had a very foul odor, all the symptoms disappeared.
I did find a website that said detox symptoms do occur during sleep as that is a prime time for the toxins to be released. I was amazed by that!
But I can't find a doctor who will even admit this is a problem. So I have no help or support.
Maybe it is just my anxiety disorder. I have started on high quality fish oil this week. It is causing some reaction but I am trying to deal with it hoping it will get better as my system gets used to it.
I was wondering why you said, "remember, you don't have a drug deficiency."
Also, I have been drinking a lot of water lately and notice that at different times during the day I get shivery and feel cold a lot. I get it at night. Last night it was so funny because I was shaking and shivering but the temp in the house was fine. I woke up at 2 and had a huge passing of gas, and the shivering and cold went away. Any connection?
I said that about the "drug defiency" because you said that you went back to your dr and he/she was saying that you needed to be back on the drugs. Going back on the drugs may make your symptoms disappear for a little while, but once your body reaches the level where it was stable before on the drugs, you will require larger, and larger amounts to keep from detoxing the drugs. These drugs are addictive and are like heroin, etc - you reach a tolerance level and need ever increasing amounts to not begin to go off the drug. You are detoxing. Everything that you do - eat foods that help cause your cells to clean out, massage which releases toxins in your muscles will release drug residue that is stored in your body. So sorry, these drugs are meant to kill and if you go back on them that will be what happens. This is do or die. You might look at Dr. Sherry Rogers book, Detoxify or Die. She documents every drug response in the body, what nutrients are used up and what is needed to rebalance. Really thick book.
I didn't know the base of Zoloft or the other drug you were on; I really didn't know if they were benzos or not. But, I did google them and together they cause a pyramidal effect in one's body. But, that is not surprising. Dr. Weil has said that zeno estrogens (drugs that mimic the hormones in our body)combine in geometric patterns. Example: 3 x 3 = 9 but with zeno estrogens 3 x 3 could be 99 or 9,000, depending on whether one is more powerful than another. I have had some of the same reactions that you have had getting off the drugs. Bottom line: get some charcoal (or maybe a lot) and start taking it. You will really feel so much better. Then, go on the Pain and Stress Center web site, order some books, read about detoxing from the drugs, get some high quality amino acids and start taking them. Quickly. Then, and only then, think about cleaning out your body.
Why do we say "you don't have a drug deficiency"? Why would you be believing lies that you need chemical poisons in your body to manipulate and destroy it and be paying someone to make you sicker and sicker and more and more poisoned? These drugs are poisonous and addictive. They are made in a laboratory and the ingredients were never alive. Drugs all have a patent. You can't patent food. They are incompatible with the body and destroy it on a cellular level. They cause disease and death.
Would amino acids or protein in general give you the symptoms you describe that happened to you at night? Amino acids are the chemical language of the brain. They are what nature uses to balance brain and body chemistry along with other nutrients. Drugs are NOT FOOD!
This is a conspiracy against you--an attempt to take your life on the installment plan and make you miserable and sicker all the while you're paying them to do it. How does this information strike you?
Anxiety disorder is BUGS giving off ammonia and overstimulating your adrenal glands. Kill them and flush them and their garbage out of your liver and body, especially the colon, too, later--because that's where they hide their eggs-- and get rid of your anxiety problem. Check the above posts and read all of them very closely.
This website is a good read for information on how the body works with the nutrients that are provided to stop the damaging effects of drug withdrawal. It's another good source of information thta has a protocol a lot like the Pain and Stress Center does. A healthy body will learn to balance itself out, but as we go thru this detox, we need some specific nutrients.
I recommned everyone who has the problem go to this website and look at what body imbalances are there that exist that influence drug addiction and what you can do about them. We do have resources for natural hormone replacement.
You may have detoxed off these drugs once, but you're going to detox off them again at the last of this program when the cellular detox takes place. The body hs to heal. It has to have nutrient help thru this detox, too. This information is to assure your success.
Cleaning out the body will allow it to heal. What Dr. Sponaugle does at this institute may be a way to help those who are very chemically poisoned to detox safely, but I would never go along with using drugs to control brain chemistry after the initial detox such as is done at this institute where they do not clean the body out.
I have questions as to their ability to cellularly detox the rest of these drugs out of their bodies, which seems to be THE AMOUNT, or a lot, in these cases, in conjunction with doing this program and doing it with the ability to deal with the brain and body damaging detox symptoms. The research doesn't seem to be available yet. Any one having any information on or experience with this, please share it. I'm in the process of searching for the answers to this. It's when the drugs come OUT of the body that they also do much damage.
Drugs destroy brain cells, the liver, the intestines and whole body. The brain and body repairs itself with proper nutrients. Once it's clean. IMO the answer is to support the brain and body with the amino acids as it's detoxing and for healing.
Consult an orthomolecular physician who does not do drugs for something like this such as Dr. Sahley. She will request blood tests that reveal deficiencies and will prescribe what's necessary that is of a natural origin. Support the adrenals with the natural B1 and body with the B vitamins in general, the thyroid with iodine in dulse of Barefoot's iodine. The recommendations Doc has on his CD. Make sure to use the natural vitamins rather than the synthetic ones.
