Hey guys I've been battling this eczema/rash which has taken over my arms/neck/face/back/chest over the past 2 years. It itches like crazy, its painful to move, theres no flexibility in my skin. I swear it feels like acid when I sweat or go in water. In Feb, I went on a diet which consisted of eliminating junk food/processed foods. I ate only brown rice, vegetables, fruits and fish here there. I had a glass of fresh pressed vegetable juice every night as well. I did it for about 2-3 months and I did not see much improvement after the first couple of weeks.
At first I believed I went through a healing crisis because the rash spread to other spots on my body like my groin area but then subsided over time. Maybe that was due to the toxins just bursting to get out. Now my skin is insanely dry and cracks which leads it to bleed.
Over that period of time I took probiotics, blue gree algae, digestive enzymes, CoQ10, hemp oil, coconut oil, an chorella.
I am now on a candida diet. Eating organic chicken/turkey, cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, onions, spinach, cucumbers asparagus, almonds, cashrews. I have an apple here and there but I try to avoid fruit as much as possible. I drink only spring water.
I have done 3 Hulda Clark liver flushes, going to do another one after my candida/fungi cleanse by humaworm, I've done a whole round of humaworm, humacleanse(colon). I am currently takin a multivitamin, zinc, bromelain(with meats) L-glutamine, msm, a green supplement drink, orchex(given by naturopathic), sulfer(naturopathic), omega 3-6-9 suppplement(naturopathic)
I'm just wondering why has nothing seemed to improve at all? My skin is just as bad 8 months ago. Nothing I do or take seems to improve, I'm sure my diet isn't working or something. I really think its leaky gut but I would like the opinion of CZ. Might explain why nothing has worked =/. Getting pretty stressed out being in college full time and working full time. I just want to work to improve this.
I recently just did a more extensive blood test to see if I have any food sensitivity that I might of missed.
This is the test I took. Do you think it will accurately tell me whether I have leaky gut or not? I should get lab tests back to the naturopathic doctor in a couple of days.Is there any other tests you guys can recommend me to do or to ask my regular doctor to do which can help unveil my problem.
It's absolutely possible that food intolerances/leaky gut is your problem. You might be surprised that the foods you are eating every day, regardless of how healthy they are, are causing you the most problems.
I was on the anti-candida diet for over a year... I am intolerant of many vegetables and now any type of rice! At first, I was even intolerant to chicken!
I did the ALCAT testing for my food intolerances. I'm not sure how that compares to the testing you have done.
If you can, try to get a test that also includes herbals, as this could be contributing. Right now, I'm severely intolerant to Essiac Tea , and slightly intolerant to coconut oil... these and other herbals that are good for candida I have to stay away from :(
Hmmm. I hope I find out more from my test results, should come in about a week. I ate brown rice and range free chicken. It did not help. I have cut out rice and chicken for a little over a week now. Eating only cooked/steamed veges and fruit. Thank you for response though, gives me some more ideas.
Are you taking any drugs? Pharmaceutical? Entertainment? Steroids?
Have you tried a 100% raw food and zero condiment diet?
I have tried before and it have some benefit, I believe it helped my body detoxify itself. I had alot of oozing fluids come out when I did. But I skin never healed. It was always dry and flaky, non stop shedding. This is where I believe leaky gut came in. I eat healthy but no improvement in my insane shedding.
Have you tried a 100% raw paleo diet with raw organic meat and lots and lots of RAW FAT, raw organic vegetables and raw organic fruit?
No. just fruit and vegetable juicing. I honestly can't eat all raw meat. I could probably do medium rare steak, if thats good enough.
Have you every tried doing a 14 day orange juice fast?
I started reading your site and about your brother and I am thinking about giving it a shot. I want to see what I may be sensitive in foods first. I will do one soon. I am about to do a 10 day fast on an elemental nutrition formula to give my body a rest.
Have you done any detox protocols?
3x liver cleanse
Your current definition of "healthy food" is not working for you.
1. Brown rice is not a healthy food. It is not an original human food. It is a grain. It's for the birds. Plus when you cook brown rice, the metal in your cooking pot gets into it. Whether it is aluminum or stainless steel.
2. Free Range Chicken - many people are allergic to chicken. My own 2nd boy is allergic to any kind of chicken. But not allergic to duck. I suggest you drop all chicken meat or egg.
Plus your chicken is cooked. Cooked chicken fat, cooked chicken meat - cooked protein is a far alien food.
Try original human food. Raw fat, raw protein, raw fruit, raw vegs.
Whatever raw you tried before was not good enough because the definition of "RAW" that you got was from the narrow minded vegans.
The SUPER FOOD of all time is RAW ANIMAL FOOD.
I highly suggest you combine the following:
(raw paleo diet with high meat every day to heal your suspected leaky gut)
The key for you is lots and lots of RAW FAT. Raw fish fat, raw grass fed beef fat and marrow. That will lubricate your skin. Raw duck egg fat. Make your own raw mayonnaise.
Olive oil fat is drying!
Raw animal fat is moisturizing!
Optional: When you are pumped up with nutrition you can do your 14 day orange juice fast. Join the ask barefoot forum to ask for help how to do the 14 day orange juice fast.
Duck Egg yolk Liver Flushes are superior to any Liver Flush because you can just do it every morning when you wake up. Plus you get nutrition! And egg yolks are lubricating! Olive oil is skin drying!
well I have being eating pretty much a raw diet for the past 4-5 days. I must admit, I don't feel too bad. I also got my test results back. I'm allergic/sensitive to alot of crap, and it says oranges as moderate. So im not sure if i should do an orange fast.
What detox do you think I should do next? A liver flush?
I tried some seared/raw beef today. It was pretty good, with some lightly cooked onions. Test results said I could eat black pepper, so i did use a little.
Oh yeah, so the test results said I was rated High for intestine permeability. So I guess I do have a leaky gut. I ordered some slippery elm and american affron tea, along with some zinc carosine, and biotin to add to my already L-gluatmine/msm supplements. Hopefully this along with my raw diet will help as well.
Started taking alpha enf, for nutrition and energy. its not bad, check it out. I will probably end up doing a 7-10 fast on this later when I feel like I have the energy to do so.
Alright, searing is a good start.
I started out that way.
Lessening the seconds of searing every day.
Until I didn't feel the need to.
Then you got to no condiments.
So you will learn the taste of nutrition, taste of real food.
You will then regain your human instincts of what it is you actually need or wish to eat.
No condiments is the next holy grail.
Just to let you know I did that pepzin gi thing and I don't think it helped me.
Hey thanks for the support. I think I'm going to try that Liver Flush via egg yolks. Seems alot easier than the other methods. I can't stand near the bathroom all day cause, everything I have either school or work, I never have a day off.
Do you think its a good idea to take a colon cleanser along when doing the Liver Flush egg yolk? I don't have an enema kit. I think I'd rather take some barefoot colon cleaner or something like that with the liver flush to help with the toxins moving. Do you think its a good idea?
And how many days in a row should I do the raw egg yolk?
Just wanted to ask whether you have consulted any real professionals such as a homeopath or naturopath. If not then I suggest you do.
It's great to reach out for support from internet forums but there are a lot of shady people up here with no credentials or education giving out potentially dangerous advice.
If you check out goodsamaritan55's other posts, he claims that eating soy makes people gay among other ridiculous garbage. So if you want to take his advice and turn your liver into foie gras eating all that raw meat fat (and potentially infecting yourself with parasites) then go for it! Common sense suggests you give your liver a break to heal it and not overcharge it with fatty foods. I think you are better off consulting with an educated professional than taking his advice.
I know how tough eczema can be to heal (my bf has it) and it really sucks to find that the internet is full of nutjobs with agendas. Some other guy is prescribing alligator oil and guess what he sells on his website? Enough said.
Anyway good luck with your healing journey and keep us posted about any progress or information you come across. And if you do try the raw meat diet and it works or doesn't work then let us know too of course!
Hey guys. Its been a little while.
I've gotten some improvement with a little change in my diet, but not enough to say I'm healed.
I did an IgG blood test via NeuroScience and went on their program for almost 6 weeks now with my naturopathic doctor. I tested very high for leaky gut and many food intolerences. I went on a diet on only foods I did not react to and rotating foods I reacted on low. I felt like I got better early, but now I feel like I'm regressing. Maybe I'm getting intolerent to my diet. I'm not sure. Probably will have to get retested or something.
I'm going to search and try to learn on how to cure/better my digiestive system with food intolerences.
borabora, I had severe eczema over a year ago. I tried many things but never went the route of pharmaceuticals. I had leaky gut and candida as well but had had that for a long time and didn't ever have eczema. I then found out I had a bacterial infection in my digestive tract and I suspected that was the straw that broke the camel's back so to speak, and thus I developed this horrific and very painful eczema. I lost tons of weight too as I was no longer digesting proteins or any of my food that I could eat (was already on a very limited diet). I was finally given information on Aloe Arborescens by someone whose psoriasis was cured by taking it. Interestingly enough I never came across any info about it while searching for an eczema cure and so I just wanted to share that it worked for me.
I took 3 TBS per day internally - I'd have taken more but my budget only allowed that but it was enough to facilitate healing. It took me a total of maybe 3-4 months to completely heal, but relief was felt and rashes began to heal within a week. I also began to heal internally and regained the weight lost and was able to better digest my food again. I never did any cleanses, didn't eat a raw diet, didn't take any other supplements - not to say those are not effective as they most certainly are, just stating the Aloe was the only thing I was doing at that time.
What works for one may not work for another but I highly recommend it. It is superior, by the way, to Aloe Vera - if you google the website (the manufacturers who make and distribute it to resellers) they have scientific data on it and in my opinion worth reading up on.
Hey guys, I truly appreciate your replies.
Sure makes you feel alot better knowing you are not alone in this battle.
And Yes I do see a naturopathic doctor. Thats how I got the food sensitivity/intolerence. I am sensitive to alot of foods. I believe maybe an overloaded liver is to blame. Its weird, I have a strong intolerence to milk and dairy products like cheese and such. I can't eat some vegetables and fruits, and even salmon.
I will look into that aloe product. I am positive there is something wrong with my digestive tract. Ever since I eliminated my food intolerences, I could feel some benefit after a couple of days. But not even to be comfortable. I have an appointment tomorrow with my GP and I will be asking him for his help by gettin more tests done. I want to know how is flora level in my system as well as take a PEG/leaky gut test to be certain. I want insurance to cover this, stuff gets pretty expensive. I also want a more comprehensive IGG and IGE test done.
I have another appointment on friday with the naturopathic doc to discuss my results. Hopefully I can generate a good plan for all of this. I think there might be something else wrong because I have been monitoring my temperature. It is always 96-97ish, I'm always cold but get hot easy because of the eczema.
Two years ago I caught a bad "flu" and I started breaking out in psoriasis within weeks. It became very bad and I did all the things you did (supplements, etc.). Nothing really helped. I kept researching because I was convinced it was a microbe assaulting my immune system. After all, why should this happen so quickly? After 2 years, I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease and also have a marker for walking pneumonia. I probably had undiagnosed Lyme, then--when I got the "flu", it was the last straw. My immune system was too taxed. I am now on antibiotics and--in 10 days--the psoriasis is fading quickly. My doctor has me on a plan to kill the microbes, yet build my immune system at the same time. I must say that most important is Methyl b-12, CoQ10, omegas and liver support (because the toxins are released and it's difficult). I feel great. Bottom line is this: if this happened quickly, something is stressing your immune system and the liver has turned it over to another organ: your skin. And the gut becomes disfunctional, so you're not getting nutrients. You need to get tested for any infection that you are harboring. Otherwise, it's very difficult to fight this off. Best of luck--I hope you do as well as I did...finally!
By the way, if you get a "flu" and you don't improve after 7-8 days, then see a doctor. Walking pneumonia seems very similar, but you can't recover that quickly and fatigue sets in. If you don't get treated, the infection just harbors and it's very dangerous.
