It is hard to know if some foods are in the acid or alkaline category since different sites give varying information. One site listed chicken and turkey in the same category as acid foods. But another site listed chicken in the alkaline category (low alklaine).
I don't recall to have ever seen that chicken or turkey were alkalizing. The only type of protein products that I saw that claimed to be alkalizing were protein powders from vegetable sources. To me, the only reason why those protein powders would be alkalizing is that the powders would still have their original natural plant protein bonds with minerals. Which would make them not as much protein isolates as much of the protein powders we can found in the market.
Sure, you can have chicken with your salads. Have a lot of green leafy veggies in your salad. They have chlorophyll and magnesium.
I you need a vinaigrette, it is better if you make it yourself, as commercial ones have chemicals, Sugar ... Use unpasteurized, raw, unprocessed Apple Cider Vinager (with the mother) and mix with fresh and quality herbs and spices. The good quality spices are alkalizing. I am sure you can find a lot of recipes on the web.
Reduce starchy food with your salad with chicken.
And have fun.
But, to know for sure if you are successful with pH balance principles, you should monitor the pH level of your urine and saliva.
