Hi all! Last Friday I went to Whole Foods and bought about 1 lb. of pumpkin seeds thinking if I had parasites they could help. I then did a search and found that the "cures" required rather large amounts to be ground into a paste, etc., then followed by a purgative as they only "paralize" worms (or at least tapeworms...). So I got disappointed in that but thought "what the heck, I like them so I'll just eat them like a snack". So that night I had a handful or two.
The next morning I got awaked by outside noise a little too early for me, but since after a while I felt hungry I decided to get up and eat since I''ve been trying to better manage my hypoglycemic symptoms. I had a couple of organic eggs fried in EVCO and accompanied by some cassava bread, since the combo is a little tough to digest I had one or two betaine hcl tabs. About a half hour later I began having a lot of gas and distress in my stomach/intestines so I had a couple of chewable enzymes too. However, other symptoms began to crop up, like abnormal hot flashes (more like feeling very hot all over for a long period of time), also palpitations and mild nausea. I peed a lot too and went #2 several times but the gas and tummy distress didn't really ease up and the area where my heart is eventually felt tight and I had a dull ache, I also could swear it felt as if "something" was moving there or I was having abnormal contractions. All this plus extra fatigue (I usually don't have energy) went on for hours so I took potassium which often helps and magnesium to help my heart relax. I did EFT and applied accupressure to myself as several points just plain hurt and eventually took more supplements, like a couple of grams of Vit. C and even charcoal caps since I kind of felt "toxic", I also did oil pulling but nothing brought relief, which stressed me out and possibly prolongued the agony.
I wondered if I was having a "thyroid storm" since I have/had thyroid problems but last year I had similar symptoms after eating foods heavy in mycotoxins (i.e., ice-cream, cheddar cheese, wheat) but I'd been on a mycotoxin free diet and taking lots of antioxidants (which can neutralize them) so I was puzzled because it did feel like some kind of food poisoning, but I was reluctant to believe it could be those organic eggs and wondered if what I'd eaten the night before which was not organic, could've been to blame so many hours later. Anyway, at one point I felt so awful, like a panic attack gone out of control or an impending heart attack that one of our cats came to me in the bathroom and just stared at me, as if to ask what was wrong. That scared me (since animals have a six sense...) so I woke my daughter up. After I explained what had been going on I asked her to massage my back because of all the sore points I had. That eventually calmed me down some but my heart was still acting up so I decided to take a tranquilizer so I could get some sleep. Between Saturday afternoon and Sunday (after I got up) I went #2 like 5 times (not diarrhea, just kind of soft) so clearly my body was trying to get "something" out (no worms that I could see. Oh, and the gas in my gut was unbelievable, sort of like when I've eaten sugar alcohols I can't digest.
The next night I repeated the tranquilizer because on top I got upset with my children and I was afraid that if I lay thinking about it it would probably stress me out, which would not be good for my heart. However, last night I had no intentions of taking one but then I couldn't get to sleep. Eventually a guaifenesin tab helped me get to sleep way into the morning (it has a light sedative effect on me) but all I got were 5 hours and right now my heart doesn't feel so good.
A few hours ago I began reading something about parasite die-off and found a post describing some of my symptoms. The whole time I was feeling sick I kept thinking of parasites but wasn't sure if I was just being "paranoid", now I think I may have been right... But I'm perplexed, could the pumpkin seeds I ate have caused me SO MUCH distress? And what exactly should I think happened? I read they paralize tapeworms but don't kill them but don't know if they would kill other worms, so I'm wondering if "mine" were just upset and "getting their revenge" or if some of them died causing some of my horrid symptoms.
I ordered a mini-zapper but I read zappers don't work very well with parasites which are inside organs, so I thought it could still be useful to kill the bacteria, viruses and fungi they liberate when they die but I would like to know if anyone has had any success actually killing worms.
What I really want to know is what I should do next. My last parasite cleanse was a mild one in '07 and I did have other symptoms of die-off (including 2 colds in the month I was doing Paragone) and I didn't follow up because I never saw a worm but I had to travel overseas three times since then and maybe despite my precautions I may have gotten some new "uninvited guests". If I have parasites that are crawling in my heart I'm afraid that they could kill me sooner if I try to kill them all at once. In other words, if I take a "de-wormer" (natural, of course) and they start dying in droves, won't that cause me to go into shock??? How would my body flush their horrible little carcases from there? Is there a way I can get rid of them in a slower or safer way?
I'm really scared, depressed and paranoid enough so please think through what you're going to say, I really don't think I can stand to feel much worse...
Thank you for replying to my post and much more for your words of comfort! Today I was lying outside to get some sun and started crying wondering if I would be dead by next year, I thought if I had parasites in my heart that would probably be a death sentence! But tears are healing too so after a while I felt a little better and got online and did a search about "heartworms" here and feel more hopeful now if that were really the case.
I don't know if I have a "bad case" of parasites or not because I've done cleanses before, eaten lots of raw garlic (for other purposes), eaten a lot of raw coconut, drank coconut milk and the oil, which I also use in cooking, plus other things that are supposed to keep parasites in check. Also, I've had problems with mold which I thought were "candida", and maybe it's part of it, but since I live in FL and last couple of places where I've lived have had some mold to which I reacted I know the spores I inhaled took "residence" in my sinuses and probably other places. I began to realize that was my main problem as far back as '03 during a long trip overseas visiting my parents because after a while I began feeling well and lost weight effortlessly. The last time I felt just wonderful was in '07 after a similar trip but 3 weeks after returning home, pretty much like previous times, I regressed. Last year I was away for 4 weeks but they were so stressful (my Mom was dying) that the only real benefit was losing 10 lbs., but come think of it despite the grief after she passed in September, when the weather got cooler here in Oct. I didn't feel as bad as I do know. Well, I did notice a couple of years ago that the long FL summers were really miserable for me anyway so I'm not surprised that this one is equally bad.
But precisely because of those trips overseas I should've done a parasite cleanse months ago and didn't. I now read that mosquitoes can transmit "heartworms" and I got eaten alive during the day (I slept with a mosquito net) for the first couple of weeks. I began rubbing my arms and legs with Vick's Vaporub to ward them off and then I found a natural anti-bug spray I'd taken there on a prior trip. I rinsed my veggies and fruit while I was down there with water with some Lugol's iodine in it and hoped that would kill any parasites eggs but I did eat out once and, anyway, there were lots of people coming in the house who could've brought them too, and even here because the climate is so warm I'm sure there are many more people infested with parasites than the one could ever imagine, plus my diet was not the best at all times. I'm hypoglycemic so I've struggled with sugar cravings on/off for years and I'm sure I've been "off the wagon" longer than on, plus I used to have amalgam feelings and never did proper chelation and all that can foster the growth of parasites and/or fungi.
At this point I'm afraid to eat any more pumpkin seeds, at least by themselves, but I will not do Humaworm because I've been reading about it on/off for over 2 years here and it seems to me lots of people have bad reactions to it AND it's not as effective as some think either. Someone recommended the Barefoot Herbalist's "dewormer" but I went to their site and didn't see anything by that name, just separate tinctures or a very costly kit, so no thanks. I'll just probably order freeze dried walnut hull powder (to put in capsules I already have) and non-irradiated cloves but probably no wormwood, unless I can get a kind that doesn't give weird neurological symptoms, plus a cheap zapper - I read it's really good for getting rid of heartworms, so "just in case".
Right now I'm on a low-carb diet pretty close to Doug Kaufmann's anti-fungal Phase One so I'm eating lots of veggies and, ugh, let's not talk about supplements, at last count including the EVCO I take, do O/P and cook with, and miscellaneous reserve extra bottles, I had over 80 of them, quite a few I bought hoping they'd be "it" but stopped taking them for one reason or another. Then recently I read more about magnesium stearate and stearic acid in most supplements and many of mine had both. I'd started buying everything I could in powder form precisely to avoid fillers because I just "knew" they couldn't be good but I still had plenty of bottles of tabs & caps so I was really mad about that and I'm taking a lot less stuff now and continue to move on to more powders and liquids as I need to reorder.
At one point I was considering the drugs but a while of reading at that "other" forum and exchanging a couple of e-mails with a winner in the parasite battle totally made me change my mind about that as it appears they can even make the problem worse sometimes.
I know my immune system is overworked and my liver slow to detox, which is probably the real reason why my symptoms were so bad, and I'm constantly working on helping it, as well as my adrenals which have been working overtime for years and years. Some of the things I take (when I remember...) are a powdered probiotic (similar to Garden of Life's), NAC, Triphala, an herb-vitamin complex for the adrenals, lecithin granules, 2,500 mg Vit. C (in addition to what's in the adrenal complex), selenium, zinc, Vit. A, D, E, etc. Due to how much I've already wasted on supplements I'm going to go easy on them from now on (even though I'm about to place a new order at Vitaglo.com...) and pass on the green superfood for now - GoL products are not exactly cheap...
I'd been skeptical about the zapper but I finally decided that I should give it a try and because money is tight I'm just going to go with a cheap one. I'd placed an order for the $10 zapper but after seeing one a little better for $15 at eBay I cancelled the order. Now I realized neither comes with hand-holds or anything so I may have to spend a little more to get them but I sure need to do something, that's all I know!
My heart just hasn't been quite the same since Saturday and that's what's got me concerned. At times I don't feel my hearbeats but like now it's uncomfortable in my chest and being in front of the computer for a few hours doesn't really help so I'm going to try to get off here pretty soon. Thanks again and God bless!
P.S. I just saw the psalm you quote in your profile, I guess at some point we must've gotten away from God's refuge because "plagues" have definitely come to our dwelling. But we have to trust that by Jesus' stripes we are healed!
