I started back in june 2009 on a semi candida diet & antifugals & was having die off symptoms. Now Sept 1st 2009 I am on the candida diet 100% no cheating with supplements. Today is my 10th day & each day has felt worst with all different kind of symptoms. My list of symptoms are scary at times & its been hard to take care of my 2 little ones. I'm wondering how long this can last?
Also I fell down a flight ceramic stairs & got a few bruises & hurt my tail bone I'm thinking this is going to set my healing back?
A lot depends on your level of candida
overgrowth. I had systemic candida after
years of pharmaceuticals and it took 3
years to bring my system into balance.

I would encourage you to keep going. If
the die-off becomes too severe, drink
more water, or consider cutting back on

My tongue is what first alerted me something was not right 2 years ago but I wish I would of knew it was yeast then.
This is one of the hardest things I think I ever had to deal with fiscally. I pray to God I can beat the beast(candida). I feel so weak,tired,hungry & pain at times I wanna cry but then I know that will just help the yeast so I try to keep my head up.
About the feeling hungry all the time is since I started on the anit candida diet of just meats,fish,nuts & organic mainly green veggies. I don't think i'm actually hungry my stomach isn't growling but i think my body is yearning for carbs & sugars.
About what antifungals I'm taking right now is unrefined coconut oil sometime 5 1/2 tbl spoons & 1 or 2 threelacs packets also home probiotics from cabbage maybe 2 or 3 times a day. Also at the start of trying to kill candida a couple months ago i was taking grape seed extract with oregano,raw garlic,probitics & threelacs up to 4 packs a day. I know I was taking way to many especially when i wasn't being a 100% on the diet. I started to have severe die off eventually so I stopped.
I've tried to be 100% since sept 1st but i have cheated a couple times & then i feel really bad for the next few days. I've been feeling super tired off & on,body aches,joint aches,headaches, everything is off & on. I've stopped taking the threelacs until my symptoms die down some & i'm only taking maybe 2 or 3 tbl spoons coconut oil a day if the die off symptoms aren't to bad. Do you think i should stop all the antifungals until i'm feeling stronger for at least a week?
What are some probiotic fermented foods you recommend? Where can i buy some unprocessed saurkraut?
local organic grocery stores might have bubbies or rejuvenate sauerkraut or any other brand in the refridgerator case...
i really reccommend making it yourself because it is soooooooo much cheaper. its about $7 in rhode island for a 20 oz jar, meanwhile you can get 2 organic cabbages and salt for $8 and make a gallon, enough to last a long time.
do you feel like you hve sufficient stomach acid and you are digesting things. because that is foremost along with diet- which you seem to have under control--though your sure you tolerate those nuts and they dont give you cravings?
i think my condition was very much the same as yours it seems.
from what you told me the hungryness is Sugar cravings, because you have "cheated" recently, after eating sugars it seems to take at least a week of strict diet to not have any cravings.
you say super tired with just a achy fatigued body right?
i felt exactly the same. though some days i would feel alright or even really good for a couple hours.
i had too much inflammation of my abdomen is why i had to stop antifungals. also they were making me tired nad uncomfortable to the point of not being able to do anything.
now i have been taking fiber and probiotics and eating sugar...and i have a better quality of life, i am going to work outside on a farm in a few minutes for hours at a time...something i had trouble doing before... but it is so hard for me to find a happy medium. there is still something wrong and i dont know what...maybe a problem metabolizing starches.
so i cant really say if you should stop or not. i would continue using coconut oil and very medicinal foods by cooking with herbs. and eating lots of veggies will go a long way to reducing cravings-keeping you full and moving regularly-delivering nutrition and hydration.are you having at least 2 bowel movements a day?hopefully as many as you have meals? you may like to also try oil pulling which is essentially swishing and shugging medicinal oil (coconut/ sesame/safflower) in your mouth for 20 minutes and then spitting it, is really nice for helping most noticably the skin and i am sure also the mucous membranes, its supposed to leach out toxins through your lymph system.
i feel alot of the time my Sugar cravings are really water cravings...something like my colon needs hydration and cant get it from my body like it should--or that my cravings are really constipation even though i move regularly, but very short term constipation.
sometimes i feel best when i dont eat anything or if i just eat veggies...so that makes me feel like i should do a sort of veggie fast, eating cooked and uncooked veggies and give my system a chance to purge. but i dont really have the low-stress environment here to do it..
i think a lot of people here dont dig threelac...i took it with food for one box's worth and it really helped me digest starches while i was using it, but some people even seem to think it can be dangerous.

I finally found a good organic store but i forgot to look for the saurkraut when i was there yesterday. I really like to get some for help with digestion but i'm not sure if i need it but it would't hurt to use it at the start of my strict candida diet. I've been using veggie digestive enzymes with everything i eat. Also i like to make some probiotics from the saurkraut, i've already made some from cabbage but i heard the saurkraut was better.
I'm not sure if i should have the nuts so early in my battle against candida but they sure are tasty the pecans with cultured butter on them. Have you heard they could cause sugar/carb cravings? I still get alot cravings especially at night. Then if i cheat i get crazy like out control & want more.
Yes i said i get the all over body aches at times. I think i especially feel bad when i've cheated i end up paying for it sometime for days. The next morning i will wake up with a headache usually after a cheat.
Also like you i can feel ok for hours then later feel like crap where i can barely function. I've had to stop the anti fungals including the coconut oil except for 1 tbl spoon a day since i cheated recently & i felt super tired & like i had a hang over & i don't drink lol. I'll start slowly increasing the anit fungals in a few days.
I'm taking fiber(Psyllium Husk) it helps keep me having at least one bowel movement first thing in the morning. Sometime i go more but with such low calorie intake i don't see how someone can have more bowel movements, maybe i should increase my veggie intake. I've lost alot weight since trying to beat candida, more weight then i like to loose.
I've heard of the oil pulling through earth clinic. I heard the sesame oil was good but maybe i'll try the coconut oil one day too. I've done it about 3 or 4 times before but not in a couple months.
Threelacs seemed to really give me instant relief from the acid reflux but also i realized raw garlic helps it too.
Working on a farm must be pretty cool lots fresh air.
