How often is it safe to give a colonic? At home, I did one per day for 2 weeks while juice fasting. This past week, I have done 3 without fasting. Is it safe to continue doing this on a daily basis? How about a weekly basis?
I am a young (mid-20's), healthy female, trying to loose about 20 lbs.
With excellent diet and exercise habits, but confused about not being able to loose weight, I was told cleansing my system would probably help - because I probably have blockage or toxicity preventing weight loss.
I feel fine giving them daily, but I'm not sure if it's safe.
I am talking about a colonic using a colema board and flushing 5 gallons of water. I got the information from an audio by Dr. Irons from www.healthmasters.com. Dr. Irons said to continue with colonics until the colon is clean and then to keep it clean. I don't know if that meant it's safe to do them for long periods of time? or daily?
While I was fasting, I was juicing mostly green vegetables (spinach, celery, cucumber, parsley, radish). I tried to use vegetables I read are "liver movers". I felt tired, and needed to rest often, but I expected that and I felt fine for the most part.
I have never done the liver flush, but I have started to read up on it and copied down a recipe. The recipe I found includes grapefruit, orange and lemon -so I'm not sure I want to do it. I'm an Atkins dieter and I don't eat much fruit. Although I do Atkins, I don't eat alot of red meat or dairy. Mostly fish, chicken, eggs, vegetables -and almost no carbs (except in vegis).
