The patient im taking care of, has finally quit! She just cant STAND to drink juices anymore. She can still take in Carrot+Apple juice, but isnt taking enough of it (Gerson protocol). And theres no way she can force herself to drink any more of that green stuff!
Question is, how do I make her drink vegetable juices, while minimizing her exposure to the taste?
Surely there must be a method to get them to drink all that?
Is there a device I can construct, like pipes, tubes or funnels etc, that are like beer bongs that can probably accomplish this?
The problem here is taste. If I can somehow bypass her tastebuds, she wont have problems with this!
And again shes also fed up with Apple juices and the like. She wouldnt drink them!
Im curious how Vets force sickly animals to gulping liquids? Again no idea is too taboo as long as it can work!
If she stops drinking, she dies!
And while were at it, how do you keep the patients energy up? Her body is weak not because of her dieases but because of the lack of protein intake in her system.
At times shes actually forced to eat fish, which I strongly detest! But she has no choice since she has no energy.
What type of juicer do you use? If you use a centrifical juicer the juice oxidizes and doesn't taste nearly as good as with a masticating type juicer.
I replaced my Jack Lalaine centrifical with an Omega 8003 masticating (for about $230 on Amazon). The difference in the taste of the juice was immediately noticeable. My wife who couldn't stand drinking vegetable juice before actually likes the taste now and to my surprise drinks it every day.
Setup and cleanup is so much simpler also allowing you to juice even when pressed for time - and multiple times a day.
Also make sure you're using good juice recipies that have enough carrot or apple for sweetening.
