I brought out the big guns this morning and started urine therapy. Perhaps God will heal me for being so brave, LOL. I started with 5 drops under the toungue and am switching to 10 tomorrow. I am also starting urine enemas tonight. I just want to get healed and well, obviously will try anything. I keep hearing how wonderful urine therapy is and thought it was a sign. My mom is doing it with me so at least I have moral support, right? I will keep you all posted. I have been doing the candida diet, probiotics, juicing, supplements, raw food, fasts, liver detox, colonics, coffee enemas, probiotic enemas, anti-fungals, etc. and though I am gradually getting better, I have not made the progress I was hoping for. It tastes OK, salty and like protein, pretty much like the way you think it would but I believe it's worth-while. Any thoughts?
I dont know anything about urine therapy but dont all the nasty toxins come out via the urine? Would you not be ingesting all your toxins? Not challenging you Megghill....not at all - just curious. Thanks
I dont understand it all. I thought the kidneys filtered out the wastes and toxins. If your kidneys fail you have to go on dialysis to clear out toxins and wastes - so your urine must contain toxins? I have also read that whilst detoxing you must drink lots of water to clear toxins out the urine. Maybe I should read up but I dont fancy the idea much myself!
It's not a bad idea, actually. I am going to be doing something to this effect, except removing only the gamma globulins from fresh urine through electrophoresis methods. There are also some potential peptides I'm interested in.
The urine is rich in IgA antibodies, which will be disassociated in the gut, but could still work to boost immunity there IMO. Shroom
After doing a lot of research on it and reading the book "Your own Perfect Medicine", I decided to give it a shot. I'll keep you posted. I did feel more at peace today and confident...I hear that it helps with mood, perhaps from the hormones? I'm doing my urine enema tonight with the urine that I collected throughout the day. I know I sound weird but that's the beauty of it!
It did not work for me.
Believe it or not, and of course I am aware that my case of acute allergies is rather specific, but ingesting a few drops of my own urine gave me a (mild) alllergic reaction.
In my view, urine therapy is ok if you don't have intox problems; if you do, along with the good stuff, you are re-ingesting the bad stuff.
I totally disagree with this statement when it comes to allergies ar least. May I suggest you get more info on histamin based allergies before posting such misleading info.
When it comes to allergies, the only sound approach is to AVOID allergens alltogether, unless it's in a carefully monitored desensitization procedure, in very minute doses.
When you are allergic to peanuts, the only thing to do is to stay away from peanuts as eating them provokes a massive outpour of histamin in your system, which might kill you.
The reason I had this reaction is that my allergies are histamin based. When I drink my urine, I increase the quantity of histamin circulating in my system (it sorts of double the dose: there is the quantity my body produces now, plus the dose produced a few hours ago and excreted in my urine), hence the reaction.
When you first start the therapy, you do have die-off reaction for 3-7 days. I have been feeling more at peace, no anxiety, no obsessive thoughts, etc. My white coated toungue is gone too. I am just tired but I was fighting a flu last week and am still feeling it now.
Urine therapy is a type of alternative therapy that involves the drinking or rubbing onto the skin of one's own urine. Urine therapy has been practiced for thousands of years and has merely fallen a bit into obscurity in the last century. However, urine therapy may seem to be unorthodox and perhaps revolutionary, it does not introduce anything new or original. It has been known throughout the centuries both in the West and in the East.
Composition of urine
The first question that probably comes to mind is whether urine is not a toxic substance and how a toxic waste product could ever be of any benefit for your health. Well, urine is not a toxic waste product and this has been scientifically proven. 95% of urine is water, 2.5% consists of urea and the remaining 2.5% is a mixture of minerals, salt, hormones and enzymes. Toxic substances are being removed from the body through the liver and intestines, through the skin and through the outbreath. The main function of the kidneys is to keep the composition of the blood in optimal balance. When there is too much water, the kidneys will remove it. But that doesn't make water into a toxic waste product.
Basis of Urine therapy
Only the substance urea can be poisonous when present in very large amounts in the blood. However, this is irrelevant in the practice of drinking urine, as urine is not immediately put back in the bloodstream. In the small amounts urea gets back into the body, it is purifying, clears up excess mucus and has a number of specific, very useful effects. Moreover, it has a wonderful healing and tonifying effect when applied to the skin. You can find urea in many skin products as one of the main components This brings us at a last important feature of urine. Urine itself is, as said, not a toxic waste product. It does contain, however, minute particles connected with possible disease processes in the body. These minute particles are mainly antibodies, which upon re-ingesting can help the body to react on specific pathological situations.
Urine therapy helps in many diseases
It has been reported that urea found in urine has anti-cancerous properties. The urea seems to disrupt the ability of cancer cells to group together and kills them by upsetting some of their normal metabolic activities. Urine therapy has been used to treat cancers of the skin, cervix, lungs, eyes, breast, and liver. Liquid urea can be injected into the skin around skin tumors or directly into the tumors themselves. Powdered urea can be applied to tumors, and it can be taken orally in liquid or pill form. This is a much less-disgusting method than urinating into a glass and drinking it.
