you wont know what normal is until you have been on Iodine for about 3 months(in adequate amounts). change is normal because you werent normal before. hang in there, keep us posted, and lets see what those of the more relevant gender have to say.
I had a period almost as if I was hemorrhaging last time. I have been taking Iodine for 2 months. Lugol's for almost 6 weeks. I was almost scared at the amount of stuff and its consistency. (sorry for the descr*iptions, men!)
I found that there are different ways we detox and women are fortunate that they can rid their body of extra toxins thru menstruation. The body does a lot of cleaning around that time of month from my learning and experience, just relax and let your body clean house.
I've had heavy periods, and then really light ones, and I'm in no way through detoxing. I wouldn't be scared or worried about anything that happens for the most part, your body is regaining its hormonal equilibrium.
But you should track it and see how things go over the next six months to a year or so. It would really be interesting. I think I'll do the same.
