Friday night my husband did the liver flush. His surgeon said the gallbladder needs to come out so we tried this first.
He seemed to do ok, was weak Saturday and Sunday upon rising from the bed or chair would get faint. He had his first bowel movement on Tuesday and it was white. Now he's worried that something has gone amuck. Can anyone here give us an idea of what is going on?
I've come across posts where people pass what they think might be candida, or mucus, or worms -- any of those could be white.
The problem with symptoms is that any particular symptom could have a number of different causes.
Weakness could be sign of electrolyte imbalance for example.
Or it could be that going that long without a bowel movement permitted re-absorption of toxins that he'd have been better off passing. You might want to look into treatments for constipation if this is a frequent thing with him.
Thanks for responding. Yes, he flushed down the toilet 3 loads of odd looking stuff after the cleanse it was full of green and red and white stones. This movement I am speaking of is the first firm movement and it had the consistancy of clay and was white.
White stools is an indication that you husband's bile is not flowing. Possible reason for this are:
Most commonly that the biliary system is still purging of debris and this impedes the bile flow.
Not enough time has passed between flushing and eating for bile to be replenished.
What to do?
Normally wait and see what happens because it usually settles down within a week but if it doesn't then it is OK to flush again to clear the ducts of the debris that has been stirred up. One flush isn't going to solve the problems so be prepared to flush regularly to try and restore your biliary function.
Yes, your quite right, it is called a clay stool. However sometimes they are white rather than clay coloured. Occasionally you may see a white stool from a dog because certain breeds suffer from gallbladder problems.
You may have seen this picture before. It shows the purging debris from my biliary system 4 days after a Liver Flush but it is very similar to a clay stool.
