This is an interesting article about the antibiotic cipro (given to all those people exposed to anthrax a few years ago) which I didn't know had fluoride in it. But explaining how magnesium chloride thru the skin helps solve the problem. So it could be another way of detoxing fluoride. It took away one ladies health problems from cipro by applying it 10 days. This is just a part of it, but the whole article is excellent. It also talks about ALA which is the one product added to my protocol by my CRA just yesterday. I needed it for energy production as my body was not showing any at all. Not a surprise as 2 accupunturist already told me that. So I hope the ALA does the job.
Magnesium chloride, when supplied in sufficient quantities, can kick start cell physiology in a very powerful way. Few know that magnesium chloride is an impressive infection fighter and even fewer know that the best way to deliver magnesium to all the cells is through the skin.
I received a letter from a professional colleague named George Eby in 2007 that stated that his daughter has been destroyed by the terrible side effects of a special type of antibiotic called fluoroquinolones. [i] He said, “My daughter was stricken with this horrible affliction. Cipro sensitivity causes long term (multiple years to life) chronic pain, weakness and tendon weakness leading to tendon breakage and many other horrible effects, some physical and some mental. This is something that everyone needs to know about. We have been destroyed by cipro. I don't think there is much anyone can do, except to give her magnesium - which is somewhat of an antidote. I am very worried but I haven't lost hope, but I am being realistic. Some of the tendon damage is necrotic and permanent. However, we have studies with rattlesnake venom that produce necrosis on animals and simply applying magnesium (chloride) and zinc (gluconate) topically, the necrosis vanishes.” Ten days later I received this email from George.
“Topical magnesium chloride for 10 days = well daughter!”
There is a power and a force in magnesium chloride that cannot be equaled anywhere else in the world of medicine. There is no substitute for magnesium in human physiology; nothing comes even close to it in terms of its effect on overall cell physiology. It goes against a strong gale wind of medical Science to ignore magnesium chloride used transdermally in the treatment of any chronic or acute disorder.
Thus magnesium chloride is the first and most important item in our cancer protocol as it is in all our protocols for other serious illnesses. Put in the clearest terms possible, our suggestion from the first day on our protocol is to almost drown oneself in transdermally applied magnesium chloride. George Eby used on his slight daughter approximately one ounce applied to the skin a day. When I used magnesium chloride treatments for sports reasons I used upward of two ounces and sometimes more each day for immediate pain relief and muscle relaxation. Such intensive use would equal the healing power that is applied with magnesium chloride and sulfate when used in emergency rooms and intensive care wards to save people lives in the case of cardiac arrest or stroke. There is an entire section of this book about magnesium and you can also read my book Transdermal Magnesium Therapy.
The primary agents in our protocol are magnesium chloride, iodine, sodium bicarbonate and ALA. A fifth would be selenium, and behind that zinc and vitamin C, E and spirulina, which is very high in GLA. Spirulina, in fact, is our secret biological weapon; offering the life force of life through an incredible array of easily absorbed nutrients. Much the same can be said for what comes through really good probiotics.
This formula would do much more than catch cancer tumor colonies in a lethal crossfire of concentrated nutritional elements. We would be stimulating the full powers of the immune system itself to seek out and destroy the cancerous cells. ALA is a remarkable compound that appears to slow down the process of aging, improve blood flow, enhance immune function and perform many other functions. "The evidence suggests that Lipoic acid is actually a low-level stressor that turns on the basic cellular defenses of the body, including some of those that naturally decline with age," said Dr. Tory Hagen, an associate professor of biochemistry and biophysics at OSU. "In particular, it tends to restore levels of glutathione, a protective antioxidant and detoxification compound, to those of a young animal. It also acts as a strong anti-inflammatory agent, which is relevant to many degenerative diseases." It seems that ALA has the ability to "kick start" cells that are declining in function helping them recover the functions that came more easily and naturally when they were younger and more vital. ALA appears to help restore a cellular "signaling" process that tends to break down in older blood vessels. It reduces mitochondrial decay in cells, which is closely linked to the symptoms of aging.
When we talk about ALA we are also talking about glutathione, which it stimulates and recycles in large quantities. Glutathione plays several roles in cancer. It prevents cancer, protecting DNA from damage by detoxifying harmful chemicals and removing them from the body. Low glutathione levels predispose people to cancer. Patients with a variety of malignant disorders were found to have a markedly lowered plasma glutathione level.
Yes, I was taking that probably for a year. When I started going to my CRA (who was referred to me by friends she's helped) a few months ago I tested for 2 pills a day. Then tested for 1 pill a day the time before this. This time I didn't test well for it. She said I may need it later. Now my body is saying no. The ALA pill that I need now is ingredients, in this order turneric, rosehips, milk this seed, Tocdtrienols from rice and palm, Lycopene, alnd alpha lipoic acid. It's called Super Antioxidant. Maybe the combination makes it work better. I just hope I can find a cheaper brand with basically the same ingredients cause this one is too expensive. I've done that with 3 of four of the products and it really saves me money. I just bring the ones I found to my CRA and she tests it to see if it's a good replacement.
I know what you mean though about ALA. I tried it a couple of years ago and it made me sick and it was a very small dosage. But in this combination I feel good.
By the was I also tested quite well for magnesium chloride drops. I was reading the magnesium chloride and magnesium taurate are the best to assimilate.
They were using 1 oz of magnesium chloride per day for his daughter. I wonder what an adult maintenance dosage would be? I have Dr. Shealy's magnesium lotion, a 16 oz bottle. How many ounces of pure magnesium chloride are in a 16 oz bottle of lotion? Dosages are always tricky.
I just ordered Mganesium oil from the site below. I looked around. It seems to have the best reputation. While I was there I picked up a bottle of their Iodine too. I have Lugol's, just thought I'd check it out.
Their are 2 versions of the Magnesium chloride--one is called "Ocean" the other is "ancient". The Ancient was a little more expensive but has a guaranteed purity and composition anaysis.
I just purchased some through naturalimport.com for the second time. I placed the order on Thursday and received it on Monday. Very fast shipping!!! The first time I ordered just the nigari flakes. I put it in my bath every day. I used to buy "Magnesium Bath Flakes" at a very high price. I think it was something like $100 for a container that a 5 lb bag of the Nigari fills one to one and a half times. With shipping I pay about $10 for a 5 pound bag of the Nigari. That means it costs about $7 or $8 for the same quantity of which I was previously spending $100 from a "holistic" web site company. I also use magnesium oil that I purchased previously at a WAY too high price on my hair and scalp while I am soaking. Once I am finished with the too expensive pre-prepared oil, I will try making it with Nigari and distilled water. I haven't tried making the oil since I still have some of the other left. This latest purchase from Natural Import, I also ordered the Nigari liquid. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, since I just received it yesterday.
Dr. Shealy,s lotion is even more expensive, $22 for 16oz...I'm not sure how much magnesium chloride is actually in 16oz of lotion. The $14.00 for 4oz may be a better deal. He recommends applying somewhere on the butt region to reduce perception of itchiness.
The one I recieved had only 20 percent magnesium chloride in it. The more natural ones from what I've read have at least 25 to 35 per cent. So, the ancient minerals is the best deal in my opinion. So it's about 4 ounces for 14.00 or 8 ounces, 2 times the amount for about $30.00. Ancient minerals also has more magnesium in it.
I bought dry stuff and mixed it myself, recipe in one of my posts titled "Potassium Chloride" in this forum.
You can get pharma grade dry KCl from any Vet compounding pharma, or if using ONLY externally buy "Muriate of potash" from a feed store:
