iodoral is definitely a different animal than lugols. but the difference does not make a difference for most. as a male, i prefer Lugols because it is cheaper and i dont have breasts that need a lot of I2.
Which one is better to treat candida, Iodoral or Lugol's? Is Iodoral better because it travels to the intestines? Or perhaps there is no difference. Your opinions and comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Iodoral is absorbed in the intestines were it may have more of an effect on candida. Lugols would be absorbed in the mouth, throat and stomach. I've used both, and find that Lugols is great when your coming down with something or you feel out od sorts, Lugols is quicker to react. Iodoral I use as part of my daily/weekly Iodine intake.
Trap is correct Lugols is cheaper.
It depends what dosage of Iodine you want to take. Two drops Eidon liquid Iodine contain 225 mcgs iodine. It may be way too weak for theropeutic purposes. People in this forum recommend 12.5 mg or higher. You need 111 drops of Eidon liguid iodine to reach 12.5 mg dosage.
If you're an adult, unless you take Iodine in substantial milligram doses (6-100mg)it's highly unlikely you will see any benefit other than perhaps preventing goiter.
A lot of these microgram dosage companies have done ZERO research. The just look at the RDA for Iodine and have a pill company make up a cheap-o formula. The bottle costs them more than the contents.
We have a Curezone group here with countable people who have used Lugol's and/or Iodoral Tablets with great success. You can try the baby iodines but they really only function, to quote our Trapper, "as gateway drugs" to Lugol's and Iodoral.
Still, I understand your sticking your toe in the water, trying the baby iodines.
Yes, 9 drops of Eidon's Iodine = 1 mg and the manufacturer of Eidon (I emailed) acts like 5 mgs is tops, and that I should slowly titrate upwards. I probably did pay mostly for that pretty blue glass bottle. Next time I will get Lugol's. I have just been using apparently miniscule amounts (2 mgs). Not exactly theraputic I suppose! I will now do more, 30-40 drops or more until it's gone. It is a baby step, I agree, but still it positively affected my skin, making it smoother. I suppose at those low amounts, the Iodine is not strong enough to be anti-parasitic at all?
