I had unprotected sex about 8 months ago and I've showed no symptoms of HIV whatsoever until I noticed a couple lumps on the back my neck a few weeks ago. I don't know what swollen lymph nodes look like, so could someone please describe them to me? These lumps I have are very small and i have about 4 of them. No pain at all. All different sizes but pretty unnoticeable. Do I need to worry since I just started seeing them a couple weeks ago and not like 4 weeks after my possible exposure. I made a doctors appointment for this monday just in case. I'm freaking out of course when I prob. shouldn't be.
Not to come down on you but thats why you should have unprotected sex if you ask me because you have that cloud over you head and Now you say you are scare so I hope you will be trying safe sex its the best way .
Most bumps on your body are not swollen lymph nodes - you only have lymph nodes in very specific places (e.g. your neck, your armpits, your groin).
This does not sound at all like a symptom of HIV. However, if you believe you are at risk of HIV (what kind of sex? with whom? you can only get HIV from someone who is HIV+, and not all types of sex are equally risky), you should get an HIV test, which should ease your mind.
