It wasn't an indepth discussion of it unfortunately. I do feel like writing my Ayurvedic doctors for more of their input. It was more in the context of a daily routine, like each morning massaging your feet with seasame oil, meditate...
Before brushing teeth we were told to oil swish with seasame oil to strengthen the gums and mouth. It wasn't in the context of detoxing, though that seems a possibility. Another part of the routine was to implant about 30 ml of sesame oil in the rectum, for a healthy colon. Wonder if this will become a forum too. Only half kidding really, for I am quite vata, if you know the Tridosha system ... vata/kapha/pitta, vata being the air/ether element, so the oil is grounding.
I quite liked the taste of sesame oil so I was doing this in India for a while. When I saw the forum I was surprised. I've been exploring Alkaline/acid balancing. The OP forum is definitely interesting, and both me and my fiancee think this is well worth experimenting with.
I look forward to reading more and also sharing my experience.
I wish all OP'ers the best of luck. I'll write one of my doctors sharing the one link and see what feedback may come our ways. I'll gladly share it.
I love how my mouth feels for starters. It's possibly one of the most intense dental routines I've ever experienced.
My sinuses are totally clear. Even when I begin to feel congested, OPing stops it in it's tracks.
It is very meditative. I didn't realize this until months after I was doing it. Honestly, it's the first think I do in the morning, and it wakes me up, but grounds me also. I would rather be late to an appointment than not to do it at all.
It makes me feel good about myself. (Maybe I'm a Vata too? I have to check into that).
I'll have to think about that enema thing for awhile :-).
Thanks for you post. There are many of us on this forum that would be most interested in hearing about this from others.....
i was trying liquid suppositories at one time, especially for b-12, and i used a syringe like they give you to give babies liquid medicine. i found it to be a great to administer substances into the body and bypass the gauntlet of the gut. it works somewhere in between injection and transdermal/sublingual. in fact, maybe about the same level as injection, but not as good as IV.
caution is highly warranted due to the delicate tissues involved and the risk of infection.
Hm. So do you think it would be a good way of administering a coffee enema too? This is something I've been meaning to do for a while, but there's something about the idea of sticking Nescafe up by butt that makes me repeatedly put it off to another day.
