I've read that Iodine kills Candida. I've got a major Candida problem I'm trying to deal with. I'm currently on a 30+ day Juice Fast. This is day 12. I plan on really attacking the candida on day 16 when I switch to just green juices and upon completion of the fast when I go on a strict Candida Diet.
Anyway, has anyone here tried doing an enema with Iodine to knock out Candida in the large intestine? If so, how much Lugol's would be safe? Any reason why this wouldn't be a good idea?
I think it is a great idea. When I did a Lugols enema (general purposes) I used about 12 drops in 3 cups of water. The enema even caused my liver to drop a load. It turned into a surprise liver flush. Lots of mucus came out also. The nice thing about a Lugol's enema is that it knocks the candida dead in just a few minutes and then the stuff is evacuated from the body so you don't have to deal with lots of die off reactions.
I did swallow a couple of teaspoons of Epsom Salt a couple of hours before doing the enema which helped relax the bile ducts and make sure I wasn't constipated.
I added a jigger of povidone to some enema water one time, and got a really bad hemorrhoid from it. A few months later, I tried it again with an eye dropper full of lugols, and got another hemorrhoid. Seems like the Iodine goes after a hook worm, which digs it's teeth into me. I have no problems with putting in just a few drops. Start with a couple of drops. If that goes well, double the Iodine. Etc.
it was a classic case of over kill
i needed to start with a lower dose and slowly increase
the homeopathic principle at work here: if a whole lot of something causes pain, a little bit of it will alleviate the same kind of pain
