The current treatment paradigm for allergic asthma involves the use of corticosteroids and beta-adrenergic agonists such as albuterol. Explain why this treatment method may actually be making this disease worse.
Scientist are discovering that asthma is caused by candida or fungal overgrowth in the body. Once the candida or fungus becomes overgrown in the lungs asthma begins. All inhaled corticosteroids are known to cause fungal overgrowth in the mouth (thrush). If these inhalers cause thrush then it is my belief that they would also cause more fungal overgrowth in the lungs of asthma patients, and over time as the fungal/candida population gets bigger and bigger the inhalers become less effective.

Try breathing with your muscles completely relaxed. You can't breathe in deeply. Breathing is extremely shallow and unsatisfying.
This means that muscle tension and (most probably) abdominal pressure controls and is essential for taking a deep breath. Research of Dr. Gwen Skloot has shown that a key feature of asthma is the failure to take a deep breath and so relax lung airways.
So there is a natural corrective mechanism for overcoming constriction of lung airways and the statements of asthma specialists that only drugs can help are to be doubted.
Moreover using asthma sprays and other asthma drugs will tend to weaken natural curative mechanisms.
One remedy is to use Yoga or other Oriental breath therapies designed to increase intra-abdominal pressure.

Everyone who is being treated with corticosteroids have to prevent candidiasis. It is necessary to recieve probiotics (containing lacto- and bifido-bacterias) and antifungal preparations. And such treatment may lead to corticosteroid dose dicreasing.
P.S. Candida fungi may cause so called "candida related complex", which have many people, carrying candida in their bodies.

When one takes steroids yes it helps. But then the body stops making its own natural steroids so if you dont cut down slowly back off it once your better, than the body has no steroids and you feel tight in the chest. Steroids are an anti inflammatory. Doctors dont tell people why to reduce it slowly they just give drugs to better your situation. My advice now is to slowly try and reduce the amount after treating the asthma. Im currently on Flixotide 125 2 puffs a day and I have slowly reduced myself. But make sure you exercise your lungs everyday to get a larger capacity. If you are allergic you should get a pricktest allergy done. Get a referral from the doctor. You can only avoid the allergens. Than you can also try allergy desensitisation as well.

As can be seen from „Asthma The Biography“ by Mark Jackson of Exeter University England (on Google Books), the disease has meant the fateful and almost true believer quest for a causally acting medication This meant neglect of respiratory mechanisms for increasing the asthma-impaired lung inflation.
As recently demonstrated by Prof. Alison McConnell in England and Dr. Paltiel Weiner in Israel and many other scientists, inspiratory resistance is needed for adequate lung function. This might seem obvious owing to the association between asthma and mouth breathing (involving the absence of resistance on an inhale). The method recommended for combating asthma has been named “respiratory muscle training”, but Weiner states (http://chestjournal.chestpubs.org/content/102/5/1357.full.pdf)
“The main mechanism whereby hyperinflation adversely affects the inspiratory muscles is by forcing them to operate in an inefficient part of their force length relationship. Hyperinflation shortens the inspiratory muscles and diminishes their ability to generate negative pressure while inspiring It causes the flattening of the diaphragm, which in turn places it in a serious mechanical disadvantage, because it has to be curved upwards (according to Laplace's law) in order to be effective.

So the method might be pedantically termed “inspiratory muscle alignment training”. The devices such as “Powerbreathe” are calibrated so as to know what suction is being applied.
However a rough notion of the mechanism may be obtained by drawing in air through a stenosis defined by finger placed between one’s lips which perhaps a bit more natural than a device. It has the advantage of being able to increase suction toward the end of each inhale, but the experts recommend a device.
All this goes to show that classical approaches to asthma are a waste of time, but of course this is not “direct medical advice” from one’s doctor.. RF
I do not assert that asthma is caused by modern treatment but is worsened by it.
Using drugs to relax spasmed bronchial muscles would unnaturally unload and hence weaken the lung inflating muscles and this mechanism was overlookedin the development of drug thereapies in the past 60 years or so because the impact of the said research came far later. This is fully in line with circumstantial (epidemiological) evidence and with natural reluctance and tact as regards questioning the dramatic and seemingly miraculous effects of asthma sprays.
Another reason seems to be that doctors tend to say that medications are significantly different, whereas they are all merely symptomatic. Patients are likely to be overestimating differences between different drugs and failing to face the fact that they are all symptomatic and not curative. RF
