i too smoke. however, i smoke no additive and organic tobacco from american spirit and roll my own in a machine with prefiltered tubes. my goodness, if i had not gotten away from commercial cigarettes, i would not have made it this far. on their website< http://www.nascigs.com/

now i am not saying smoking is not harmful, but then just living in a major city is harmful to the lungs. the government sanctions poisoning cigarette smokers by not monitoring these additives or requiring disclosure. iguess they figure if youre stupid enough to smoke, who cares whats in it! this is not equal protection under the law, it is open season on a legal segment of our population with gross disregard to life and well being.
anyway, sorry to focus on smoking but i stick to what i know and say i dont know when i dont. that way what i say may be useful to someone. so, i did some oxygen therapy(food grade h2o2) and switched to nac(the organic is so superior to anyting else you could buy) and my emphysema went away and has not returned in three or more years. plus i have carried through with treating my extreme fatigue and depression and super low thyroid function with great success. if i had quit smoking completely it probably would have happened faster, but i was miserable enough and not that masochistic!
i think your weight problem will even out when you get all your systems functioning and flowing. the cigs deplete vitamin c like crazy and that depletion is what hurts the veins and arteries. i have heard of people avoiding surgery for anurisms with massive doses of vitC. vit c helps rebuild that kind of cartilagenous tissue.
i think the focus on your diet should change. you need fats, plant fats and oils, organic butter, fresh and raw on everything and certified organic. and plenty of distilled water. and dont mix proteins and carbs at the same meal. i would check out virgin organic cocnut oil if i were you.
it is very difficult to chelate fluoride. what i did was flood my system with good plant based iodine and used magnets to stimulate my metabolism to use up the fluoride. and of course, stayed away from all sources of fluoride as possible.
fluoride is everywhere. it is in medications such as prozac and paxil. it is in teflon and will kill birds and snakes in homes that use them. it is in stainmaster carpet, scotchguard, and water repellents for tents and boots. it is in depleted uranium - you know, the stuff that they have been shooting at arabs for the last couple of decades and that atomizes into radioactive u235 isotopes and fluorine gas and the troops breath it and get sick(gulf war syndrome) and poisons the local population(iraq has the highest percentage of breast cancer and birth defects in the world but they still like us) and eventually the planet because these tiny particles eventually circumnavigate the globe(look whos downwind of iraq).
