I've been making tea from Marshmallow root herbs and each cup helps me heal my fistula and all other symptoms of crohn's for about half a day (i mean my fistula completely closes off even when its very active). So about 2-3 cups a day can heal me but the problem is i often forget to make enough of it and then during work its not so easy to make it. So now i ordered it in pill form and will try that. Does anyone else use it? Does anyone else want to try it?
I was about to start using remicade or humira and now that i found this solution im not sure i want those serious drugs. (Other drugs like 6pm, pentasa, asacol didn't help me at all)
The way i use is...
Add about 2-3 table spoons of Marshmallow root (cut) to a cup of boiling water mix it in and cover for 15 mins. Then sift it and drink the tea when it cools off a bit just make sure that its not too cold.
(There are other ways of preparing it but when i tried some other ways it didnt help me so im sticking with this method)
If anyone else wants to try it please let me know your results.
I don't have UC, but I am having other skin sensitivities, etc.
I remember that marshmallow root was in the herbal Liver Flush preferred by White Tiger...and that worked like gangbusters on one occasion. The other times, before and after, it was just a pleasant tea.
But, when it worked, I could feel the large stones dropping out of my liver...5 or 6 of them...one at a time.
Sharp pains...but I could handle them, especially when I sat down. Strangely, they moved when I was working at the kitchen counter...mostly when doing dishes.
But, if marshmallow is good for sealing a fistula, I'm sure that's a good thing for my skin irritations.
